You don't appear to have linked your XBL account to your Bungie.net profile. To do so, go to settings, then the linked accounts tab. Select "link" next to the Xbox logo, and sign in with the Microsoft account you use to manage your Xbox Live account.

My XBL account is linked. Still not there.
-
In that case I'll ask around what might be going on. In the meantime, silly question, but I need to ask: You've played Destiny on that XBL account, yes?
-
Yes I have played. I tried to check my account settings on my Xbox, and it's nothing there.

I founded a clan and my group members can not see the option to "Set as Xbox Clan" as well. Out of 4 members (One of them being myself, as the leader). I have looked all over the web, but there doesn't seem to be a fix for this. I as the leader am the only one who can "join" the clan that I made. None of my group members can. What's up with this?
-
You're listed as part of your clan in the roster. That's why you can't see the button. At least two of your group members don't have their XBL tags linked to their Bungie.net profiles. For the remaining user, it's possible that because they're already in another clan, they can't see the join button for yours.
-
How can I instruct the other group members to link their XBL to their bungie profile? they told me they signed up to bungie through Microsoft?
-
Have them make sure it's the Microsoft account they use to manage their XBL accounts. Their XBL tags aren't on their profile, indicating to me that their tags are not linked, unless they set their tags to not visible. Here's our linking and unlinking guide.

my group members (besides the one that is already in a clan), linked to bungie.net through their Microsoft/live accounts when they signed up ie: they signed into live.com, then signed into bungie.net via the sign in; Microsoft account option. they have not changed any settings, and according to the instructions you gave me via that link which I sent to them, they say they should be all set. is there anything else we need to do or might be missing?
-
When they view their own profiles, do they see their guardians? And I want you to check your group settings. Go to admin tools, then settings. Check the clan membership options. If it's closed to new members, that button is going to disappear.
-
The two members wanting to join the clan don't have the game yet, but they are getting it later today. They just want to get the "paperwork" out of the way so they can just focus on playing. my setting says open to new members.
-
In order to join a clan on Bungie.net, you need to have played Destiny first.

ahh gotcha alright
