A Social Poll
Are you religious or not? Do you believe in a god and have a set of beliefs that you practice in order to worship said god or no?
I want to see what percent of the flood believes in a god vs the amount that doesn't.
So hit yes if you believe in god, hit no if you don't.

4 RepliesIf there is a true singular God that is mentioned in various texts, then why would he create humans with a means to sin so he can just send them to Hell to burn for an eternity when they die, anyways? If humans are God's creation, God's children, why does he feel the need to allow room for sins to be acted upon, just to send one of his children to burn and get tortured forever? That's just bad parenting.

I've always believed religion (belief in or not) is something each person should have to come to terms with at some point in their lives. I personally believe that there is a greater power out there. I'd rather have hope of an ever after than letting the thought sink in fully that once the lights are out, that's it. No more thought, no more memories. Too bleak.

5 RepliesNot all that religious, but extremely spiritual with Christian beliefs. Jesus is love. Jesus is life. Have a hard time understanding why athiest think their stories are any different from ours. Evolution, for example, was mentioned in [i][u]the descent of man[/u][/i] by Darwin two times, while love was mentioned 50 or more times. Yet we don't teach love, we teach individuals to be separate because of our beliefs, which contradicts all that Darwin had observed, and that we can still observe in nature today. The Big Bang theory imposes a foundation for the universe without the presence of awareness or consciousness or connectivity between all matter and energy, which is quite the contrary, according to einstiens presented theory of quantum entanglement and many other observations you can plainly see in nature. Science had the idea, but has been moving in the wrong direction. Humanity in the past is already resting in the future. And our present humanity can dream up whatever it desires about it's future, yet we are still getting it wrong. There's no connection between humans. Dr. Kings example is one to emulate, but so are the examples of every single person that was marching with him. King was not the impact, he was the initiator. The hearts and minds of those who came together for peace and prosperity for a people are the ones who made all the impact, though he is the face of the influence and movement. Keep thinking but start feeling, for your fellow man, for your family, for nature. Start loving. We are all connected.

2 RepliesRead like 15 comments, very disappointed in the massive flame war spurring. Can we not just respect the beliefs of everyone? We'll find out who's right in the end, so why not just enjoy our time together before we don't have any time? Sure, you can share your beliefs, but don't cram them, that's how you push people away from the belief, and defend your faith if need be, or your lack of faith, but there shouldn't be a need to defend if everyone would simply tolerate and accept each other respectfully, can we do that flood?

What kind of twisted person creates sapient beings and orders them to worship him and if they don't they'll be cast into fire for eternal suffering, sounds pretty tyrannical to me.
