The thorn DESERVES to be op.
Think about it, there is no way to easily get that gun. Anyone who has done the bounty can tell you that it deserves It's position.
I don't get Why all these people are calling nerf. If you do the bounty, you deserve the weapon.
(Ps) this weapon is harder to get than the mythoclast.

I agree. I know I'm not great at destiny by any means, but I solo'd that bounty, and I'd say the reward fairly matches the effort. [spoiler]though I haven't used it since I got TLW. Shame.[/spoiler]

dissagree with both. Bungie have teams of people looking at how the guns are used and they nerf/patch them to be better or worse to create a range of gameplay. as for the bounty its very easy even if you arent that great at the game and horrible at destiny in general its very easy to pick up a void rocket/machinegun/sniper/fusion rifle People forget that the rare (blue) guns also do the same ammount of damage in the crusible (compared to their legendary counterpart) the only main diff is that they have more perks on a legendary. The bountys for exotics and all bounty's in general are for people to experience different aspects of the game and make it challenging and at the same time very rewarding. Thats my opinion anyways Im not having a go or anything its just how i feel about it (: Cheers

it easy only thing the void part of the bounty can drag on requires alot of matches xyor the wizard wont be issue as most players are pretty much level 30 now i remember first time i got thorn the mission was hard as because i was only level 25 at the time level makes a big difference when it comes to pve

In some aspects it is easier than the mythoclast, depending on your strategy/group. For example if you join at the Atheon CP with a group of Gjallahorn-ers then it is a piece of cake. But the thorn bounty is a challenge, unless you cheese the boss and sit inside on the steps, which is what 99.99999% of people do, so i guess again it depends on your strategies. I did the thorn bounty at level 24 and it was nigh impossible until I figured out the exploit inside. Most would have done it recently on a level 28+ so it would have been easy.

The bounty seemed really hard at first, you just need 3 people working together. Take down the shields, solar or void.. Focus your fire together, don't try to do them one at a time. Towards the end, two of us stayed in the room, reviving each other and drawing mob fire--- while our friend ran around down below killing the wizard.

1 ReplyI did the bounty twice. Once before the DLC, once after. I love that this weapon carries a reputation with it, that it's SOOOO hard to get. It makes me love using it even more, knowing a bunch of people won't also be using it because they can't get/complete the exotic bounty.

2 RepliesHand cannons have a high learning curve in pve and pvp alike. They are some of the most rewarding weapons to use but very unforgiving in the hands of the wrong user. Most people who pwn in the crucible with a hand cannon have worked at building their skill with one for a long time. Furthermore, pvp noobs stick to assault rifles(suros regime). I understand that the Thorn is powerful, but few would call it overpowered. The chances of you meeting a skillled player with thorn are slim. Out of all the players I've met in the crucible who wield Thorn, only one has really posed a challenge. Yes I died over and over, but he earned those kills.

Bull shit. Another person who expects the world out of one task. Do you ask for a raise every time there's something harder to do at work? Instead of whining and saying you need more, challenge yourself. I did the bounty and there it sits in my vault just for the collection of useless hand cannons. It's in no way hard at all.

1 ReplyThorn is my favorite gun and I worked harder to get it than my Mythoclast. Thorn owners earned that gun. To hell with the disputes about earning vs Xur purchases. Thorn is the only gun you truly earn.

The thorn is easier to get than the mythoclast. You have a chance at thorn every day, mythoclast only once a week. And the thorn bounty is easy sauce anyways.

Honeslty the first time i did the bounty, i wasnt in t zu ne with the mechanics of pvp but after the occasional match here and ther and grinding out to 5 in the last ironbanner got all the void kills in an hr, also might be first time with hunter second with warlock but still. The only thing that stopped me the second time was the bitch wizard then it was on xurs list so i just refudged the first one.
