This isn't going to happen, I thought. From the rumors, you aren't allowed to upgrade your exclusive weapons from Xur until 2015

Apparently not, people already did the time travel glitch which originally reveled that all exotics are in Xur's inventory are all but exclusives and revealed that the last PS exclusives do indeed have upgrades in the inventory.
