You must be crazy. Shotguns kill at very close range in one hit. At a short distance, shotgun plus melee is a kill. Two blasts of a shotgun is a kill in cqc. It is designed for cqc and many players use it to great effect. If anything, shotguns and FR are OP. They are basically instant kills for noobs.The point is you have to get in close to play with them. Most players use a shotgun and autorifle combo for a spray and pray technique.

Learn to read he said pve not pvp and I dislike shotgun for pve you leave yourself to vulnerable with close quarters.

Well, exactly! My argument is exactly that the close quarter risk should be compensated... with more damage! It's risky... but fun :P

Sorry, shotguns just bug my so much in PvP that I go kinda crazy about it lol. #NeedsToCalmDown Yeah, they should have better range and accuracy for PvE. The shotguns in Destiny are more like a blunderbuss than a modern shotgun. Same thing in halo.
