•
corsair ax 750w
Not sure he intends to spend $400 on PSU... The AX is super expensive!
Gpu: Nvidia GeForce gtx 970
That card ranges from $350 to $450+... I think he must already have a CPU, god only knows what it is...

 • Lol, quality is EVERYTHING! If only I had the money... I've spent quite a bit on cases (RAVEN Silverstone = <3), seems frivolous, but I tell you, a good, solid, silent, easy to cable manage case is priceless ;) Just think this guy is trying to bump up a puter he already has, nothing more. 16GB RAM is great but he could have a crappy CPU and an even crappier MB, we don't know, because... he didn't tell us. $300 for both GPU/PSU is tight, I'd go Corsair/Nvidia but not going to get the best. What's this connected to for display? We don't know. Cooling system in this box? SLI an option? We don't know. Here is a good little graph on latest GPU http://www.futuremark.com/hardware/gpu
I'll go now, HAHA, could talk forever, modding is not my line of work, but I love it. Wish it was my job.
• actually, most load heavy systems uses maybe 6gb so 16gb is optimal. any more for a non-server application is pointless unless you're using a ramdisk for fast temporary caching. also, you forgot the "k" in the sku.

 • I run a intense system (i7 4790k, gtx 970, 16gb ddr3 ram) and I only end up using around 5 gb of ram total so it's fine and there is a k model and a non k. Go non k if you aren't over clocking.

 • Thanks. I was given what I have so far, so I didn't spend anything on the RAM.

 • I think he already has the 16GB? My impression was he's just looking for PSU and GPU, hard to figure it out if we know zilch, nada, about the rest of his stuff...
