Our group just took a friend through the vault for his first time. He got HELMET, GLOVES, CHEST, AND THE BOOTS!!!!!!
So our group decided to take one of our friends through the raid as he just got the game. As a reward he got helmet, gloves, chest, and boots for armor. He got Fatebringer, Pra Revenge, Hardlight, Corrective Measure, VOC, Timebreaker and the Vex. So your telling me that People have been doing the raid since day one and still don't have full raid armor and this guy gets all this on one run through. The reward system is completely broken and needs to be fixed.
Edit: I really enjoy the comments that discredit the account. Anyone who discredits this account clearly does not understand the mechanics of the raid system between hard and normal.

2 RepliesGood for him. How about you stop being a dick and be happy for your friend? The RNG can be a son of a bitch sometimes, but you probably don't bitch when it works out in your favor. I finished the raid on hard on Monday, and Atheon dropped the Battlecage of Kabr (the last piece that I needed to get to 30), a Vex Mythoclast, and the Aspect of Glass. When I told my friends of my good fortune they were like, "Sweet", or "Congrats". I have done raids where I have gotten nothing but ascendant materials and Chatterwhite, but I have also pulled Hawkmoon, Truth, and the Vex Mythoclast from the raid so I can't complain too much.

6 RepliesJust because he only completed the raid 3 times does not mean he hasn't gotten to the exotic chest and nabbed some gear there every week since launch. He may have gotten lucky with the raid gear set and sparrow from the 3 completions, but not everything from one raid. I don't buy it.

1 ReplyThis game does really put me off sometimes - the poor rng luck I have is depressing... I ran the raid for the first time yesterday - fortunate to find a good group in destinylfg - and in total got 13 shards, the titan tea towel, and chatterwhite. TBH it puts me off bothering to put in the effort to run it again =|

2 RepliesPretty neat I actually didn't have any raid boots pre iron banner 2.0, so I got up in iron banner rank to buy some and after IB I did the raid on hard after I leveled up the boots to get me to lvl 30 I got raid boots after oracles chest after Templar Gauntlets after the gatekeeper and two helmets after atheon so I deff know this is possible, I just it wish would have happen before the iron banner I would have loved to have at least one 30 before the iron banner 2.0 but now I have three and enough raid gear to make another to 30

I'd rather be the awesome raider that I am with my incredible team, rather than just get super lucky, 30 won't help much if you have no experience... Plus it keeps it fun, never knowing what you'll get next!!

4 RepliesI don't think that anyone I know is this lucky....I hate to say it as wonderful as this would have been, I don't believe you... What level did you do it at? If you say normal then its fake because you can't get the helmet from normal. You can only get the helmet from Hard (same with the vex). If you ran hard then its possibly a bit more believable but not this much loot... You'll have the chests if he didn't do normal and four loot tables. I know for a fact that two chests are nearly always ascendant materials (and there's the best chest in the game - the spirit bloom chest) two usually give items. I would love this to be true and happen more often but I am skeptical.

Its possible. I've seen someone get full set raid gear in one sitting. Its not impossible.
