would you buy a car like this?
imagine you just bought a car this car was supposed to be great. advertising blew you away. You contact the dealer and say you want it. He puts it aside for you. .. You now go into the shop and drive it home . you notice it has no back seat like the one in the adverts you had watched. you find out its in your trunk but the trunk is locked but it will be installed for you later at the companys release time for that part.
and they will only charge you a small fee to install it , ok so now your driving down the road when you notice one of the speed dials reads wrong. u contact the company . they say future updates will fix it dont worry. you wait and the update is released . check your car . no back seat ,no speed dial working , and now after the update the engine dont work lol Also you only have a chance 1 out of 6 your doors will open .How does this differ from what bungie did with destiny?

13 RepliesAnd you can't test drive it, or even look inside, before you buy it. No pre-release to game critics for destiny. I think because they knew if they let the critics have it before release, their sales would have plummeted.

Because that's what people are doing by preordering or buying on release day. Just slow down people, it's not like they only made a million copies. What's the rush?

1 ReplyBungie did ship a half assed game, but there are plenty of things to do..if youre into repitition. I do wish they added MUCH more depth to the story, but that's looking at it in hind sight. I enjoyed it immensely the first month, then the game became somewhat of a grind. I do agree that this game should've been shipped with more content but...cmon..how much free content is one company willing to give? They do need constant revenue to keep the game going, especially after promising a 10 year run.

29 RepliesWe bought Destiny because some of us like the elements that build the game. Car metaphor doesnt work. Get the dial fixed yourself. Crowbar or locksmith the back seat out of the trunk. Car costs thousands of dollars. Destiny cost 60. Engine works fine for 99% of people after patches, thanks. 1 out of 6 chance for car doors to open? please. The game starts 6 out of 6 times. But you don't get an exotic and a legendary every time you run the nightfall, boohoo. we bought destiny KNOWING that some parts of the game would be released later as DLC. i preordered the season pass along with my Glacier PS4 bundle. Every game developer does this nowadays, don't complain. 0/10 would not troll with Get away from me you filthy casual

Edited by Oldskool Gamer: 11/30/2014 9:53:50 AMlol as i thought no one thats a fanboy would answer honestly. there is not one bit of difference the game was a released flawed product . i myself dont want to see broken games become a thing of the norm nor do i want other games to follow the RNG as it ruins the means of skill to a game. on that i rest my debate to what no relevant points where made . ok its good for co op so is gtav that has a massive sandbox and full built story where you can feel your progression . destiny offers none of this levels are a bore after the ammount of time needed to grind for items you need. its a shame the game could be so good a bit of creature tactics proper bosses . more strikes no RNG and just made you battle your level with a story built around the guns exotics you go collect. if they made it anything like fallout - skyrims sandboxes it would have been insanely good. but small repeating over and over sandboxes just wasnt the right path ok im done with my opinion/rant on this so fire away what ever you wanna say lol this is now become just as boring as destiny.LOL

As we all know some generally hated destiny, but that point could be caused by anything like They don't like bungie's stuff, or perhaps they don't like the story, or it may just be that there a -blam!-in hater, in any case you my friend, don't appreciate this work because you set the bar to high just think for one moment of how hard the developers had to work on this. Cut them some slack and just think if you were put in their shoes would you be able to achieve what they have, could you meet their creative skills, animation and coding skills just stop and think before you tell.
