At least in PvE. Seriously! think about it for a second. When they were billed post beta as game changing elitist weapons of mass destruction it sort of made sense.
The unfortunate reality is that many of the exotics don’t live up to these expectations. Add to this that many of the raid primary weapons have better buff’s such as elemental damage making them more useful in Nightfall raids than any exotic.
The fact that in any PvE situation you come across you have time to squat behind a rock or in a corner and change your load out makes me wonder why we have this imposed rule at all in PvE. There is no crucial game changing decision which weapon to go into battle with as was billed post beta.
Many guardians who form the Destiny community and have been buying from Xur week on week since launch, like myself, will have the majority of exotic weapons and be at no disadvantage except perhaps in the crucible, while I wouldn’t personally mind I can see an argument against this motion in PvP.

For the people saying against it... Why? It works for: Diablo Borderlands WOW ESO Final fantasy DAI Too many to list. In fact destiny is the only game I know of that doesn't allow it. It's stupid, borderline idiotic. You can only shoot one gun at a time, anyway, right?

It's sad that such a terrible PVP is what brings this down, all the nerf this nerf that comes from the PVP babies, guarantee their reasoning behind one slot is because of the PVP aspect

My thought to this is give us a choice of 2 total exotics. You could sacrifice one for the other. Equip let's say icebreaker and MIDA then not have an exotic armor. Or on the other side equip don't touch me and symbiote but now you don't get an exotic weapon. Still only a total of 2 to equip how you see fit.

I'm at the point of having more exotics than legendaries, and it's a real pain having to juggle my weapons around constantly.

Eventually there will be a new weapon class to replace exotic, " mythical " or something. Then exotics will be free for all. But then you'll want the new class.

No!! The point in limiting exotic equipping is to force you to pick the right gun/armor for a the situation you're getting into. It's part of the skill/knowledge of the game. Sure it would be fun to be a juggernaut with all exotic weapons, but that's not the point.

I think you should be allowed to equip an exotic heavy and one other exotic weapon in PvP. You use heavies for what, 30 seconds?

The only way I ever want to see multiple exotic weapons used is if there's an exotic chest piece that has that specific perk.

No way! It would make legendary weapons basically 100% disposable. If you can have 3 exotics, legendaries would become obsolete and we would lose a huge part of content

One is enough. The whole idea is to load out your armor and weapons around that Exotic.

What I would really like to see are exotic armors/guns which have no function, but allow you to equip 2 exotic armors/weapons. Example: exotic helmet with 36 light and only has 1 perk- allows guardians to equip 2 exotic guns. OR Exotic special weapon- no function but allows guardian to equip 2 exotic pieces of armor.

Oh man, an entire loadout of exotic weapons for pve would be awesome. I would flat out abuse my bad juju and icebreaker. I would almost pity the minions of the darkness.

So heres the other half thats really important: Exotics interacting in ways they werent ment to. If you have an exotic helmm gloves, chest, and boots your gonna have some insane perks stacked ontop of eachother. As of right now i dont know of anything game breaking but im sure if you look hard enough you can find something. Tldr: bad juju + obsidian mind is really good. Things could get even more op if you can combo 7 exotics

This is so true. Why make us constantly hide behind corners? Also, let us reforge the elemental damage and perks of vendor weapons. That would be sick. Also transmog. Also vault space. Also custom shaders. Also sparrow racing. Also faction sparrows. Also hot keys for ammo synth. I could go on for days.

would have been cool if at 31/32 you can equip two (armor and weapon) and at 33/34 you can have three
