My first test against Septiks was just one of many. And this test isn't to see if the Hawkmoon can take away an enemy's shield faster than another primary weapon that has the correct element for that shield. It is to find out if there is a weapon that can out dps the Hawkmoon on a boss, using pure damage. Meaning damage that isn't affected by a shield--straight damage that goes directly to the enemies health. And as I said, if I used another class that could reload faster, the numbers would be greater, but the ratios would stay the exact same. For example, let's say a weapon does 2 damage over a set amount if time with the warlock, and 1 damage with the opposing weapon with the warlock. Then we use the hunter, which can reload x times faster. The weapon would do let's say 4 damage with the hunter, and 2 damage with the opposing weapon. In the end the ratios would be exactly the same. The only conclusion would be that you can produce a little but more damage with the hunter, but the weapons do not change. Do you see what I mean now? There would be absolutely no point in doing the exact same tests with different class. :) I hope that clears things up.
