You represent a serious problem in the gaming community that allows the Gaming Industry to keep screwing it's fans time and time again. You need to understand that when a game producer promises you gold and then gives you low quality poo at full price, you're being screwed over. Giving them MORE MONEY after they do this to you is the same as telling them that it's 'okay' to keep screwing you over. The problem is that, there will always be a driving entity somewhere between publishers and game designers that's only focus will be "How much did we make? How can we make more? What can we cut to save money?" If you really care whether Destiny or any other game of this era and the next eras beyond improve and became amazing, then you need to STOP giving them your money. DLC or not, just stop. The biggest change to gaming will come when the community as a whole puts it's foot down and stops throwing their money down the drain on terrible titles and DLC. Bungie, Activision, and every other provider of games will steadily get the hint that they just smacked a bee hive by insulting us with poultry games at elevated prices. Are you a tool who throws away his money encouraging companies to do wrong? OR, are you a gawd damn Champion who isn't gonna put up with the crap we've been given?

  • IMO You represent a serious problem in the gaming community that allows the Gaming Industry to keep making millions off games like flappy bird, because you think $60, and $20 are expensive. In order to make great games you need a great studio. For a great studio you need great people working in it. To have great people you need good money. Destiny is worth what you paid, and so is the DLC.

  • $60 is too much for what they gave us. The only story was quite literally the opening cinematic. The rest of the game's play was merely wave defense and "I could tell you stuff, but I won't." $20 isn't too much, but what matters is what you're supporting. There is plenty of evidence to show Destiny having initially been something that would outshine all other games. A god amongst console games. But what they released wasn't even remotely close to that. It was stripped, broken, mended and tossed to us in shambles. I have no doubt this was probably an overwhelming large part in due to Activision, but to each their own. My problem isn't the $60 price tag. It's the fact that this game is not a stand-alone game. You need friends to enrich the experience and even then the real richness is quite literally in the factor of some exploration and experiences with those friends in a new-ish environment. On your own, it's quite clearly an unbelievable grindfest. By all means, reference the Grimoire as many people do. The point of buying the game is to play the story, not read it. When it came to Halo, I could buy and play a great game and then spend $6 to go buy and immerse myself into a great book that filled me in further on the Halo Universe. Whether you wanted to play the game or read, there was an option with Halo. With Destiny that isn't even close to accurate. The game doesn't provide you with any real substantial story. It's completely empty and expects you to grind to the ends of time if you want the full 'book'. I don't find that appropriate at all. It defeats the purpose of buying the game if all the actual story is separated and placed elsewhere online. I get where you're going with people whining over the increase of the price of games and the cost of production, but you're batting 0s on the particular subject of Destiny. I'd have paid $100 minimum if the game was released in the full amazing glory that sources are claiming it was before the butchering.

  • It's crazy, but I feel the exact same way about everything, but $60 is way too much. That's just what games cost. It seams that's not your problem with it either. It is a total grindfest without friends. I was also hoping for a Final Fantasy like storyline(stand-alone game for sure), and we don't have that yet. Plus I hate the Grimoire. Much like you, I'll pick up a book if I want to read. Maybe Bungie will understand Grimoire is great for going further into detail about different aspects of the game. I just want to play the story out first, and read Grimoire to clarify.

Well said my friend. Because if we keep giving them what they want then more maker/publisher are going to screw as more. We are a player who have passion in gaming, love, respect ect. So as far as I'm concerns we deserve better. People now days (maker) are blinded by money. What would you pick friends with loyalty, respect, love, and building bonds....or money..... The more you build up respect with your fan and friends the more love we all get (together). Money might seems that you can get anything such as players and people but it will not buy you love or loyal people (player). Money will never jump in front of you and take the bullets and pain. Sorry for going too fare but everyone open your eyes look a little bit harder, I don't care if I get the hates but I know someday you all will understand the true meaning of GAMING. (MY OPINION!!!!!) HAPPEN THANKS GIVING TO EVERYONE AND BUMGIE. AND sorry for my bad english, spelling and grammar.
