Hunter for crucible

Ok, I've been doing nothing but play titan since launch. I am comfortable and familiar with my strengths and weaknesses. I do like to play crucible, in fact looking at hours played it shows I play more crucible than anything else even though I do raids and everything else on both characters. Well I got the idea from another dad of creating a hunter class to specialize in crucible. It's a great idea since they are so OP in crucible. It would not be necessary to level beyond 20. I have no clue about being a hunter, except that they always seem to be dancing around the whole place slicing up anybody that is unlucky to be in the area. So can I get experienced hunter tips on how to create a bad ass crucible hunter? Also what gun types are more suitable (like hand cannons?) or does that matter. What subclass to focus on? (assuming the arc blade is the best for crucible?)

If you want to suck but have free kills from time to time roll Hunter. If you want to own by exploiting and have free panic kills roll Warlock and if you want to dominate all crucible with the omnipotent overly OP bastard made for panic class, roll Titan.

  • Warlocks are better for pvp, but even then your weapons will be getting you the most kills, not your class

  • Gunslingers are the working man. Blade dancers are like little punk rich kids.

    • Idk what you've heard, but unless you're playing rumble, hunter is by no means so "op" that you should work to create and learn a whole new play style. Unless you want to I guess. But don't think that's going to make you win. Don't get me wrong, I love my hunter, but they are by no means overpowered.

      • Gunslinger > bladedancer. Nothing better than shooting a bd in the face with a golden gun.

        • Don't believe the hype, only few people are actually deadly as Hunter's.

        • I'm in the same boat as you, got a 30 Titan, nothing else, and I enjoy playing PvP. Just been lvling a hunter mainly for PvP (lvl 17 now), because I think the Hunters are beast. Every class has it's benefits in crucible ofcourse, but the Hunter's specials look like a lot of fun to use (FoH is nice, but only CQ).

          • Hunters aren't op. They just have precision supers (golden gun) but blade dancer just doesn't require quite enough precision. But the hunter is the exact same as every other class. Use the guns you are comfortable using, I use hand cannons and snipers because I'm an accuracy guy and they are awesome. But if you like auto rifles then use those. Classes only matter for the animations, supers, and few unique perks.

          • You don't have to go past level 20, but if you get exotic/legendary armor and level it up a little, you'll usually get better perks than from blue armor

          • Hunter is great. Both subclasses have uses. I like gunslinger because of chain of woe and gunslinger trance.(reload and stability buffs with crit kills). Also good with pistols because of reload buff. Blade dancer i like because of blink it's is good at disorienting players to give u an edge. I also like arc blade for control. Weapons u can use whatever you're comfortable with. I personally like hand cannons fusion rifles and machine guns for PvP. I'll use an auto rifle sometimes to.
