You Shoulda Kept Your Rares

Judging by Planet Destiny's article a week or so ago, the new DLC has big plans for all those useless item drops. Evolving weapons has already been confirmed, evolving rares to legendary is still a possibility but I don't believe to be confirmed as of yet. Here's the article: http://planetdestiny.com/evolving-murmur-necrochasm/ I know this would be one of the biggest surprises of the DLC in a great way. What do you guys think? Edit: Guys please quit telling me that it is only for 2 weapons or that I misread the article. Look, I KNOW only 2 were confirmed but please just skip straight to the Radiant Materials section of the article. If they're doing it with one or two, it is possible they can do it with all. I am not claiming they are doing it with all, just saying there is a possibility plus why the hell wouldn't they do something this great?

 •
These new Radiant materials will be used for upgrading your gear, and possibly upgrading gear from Rare to Legendary.
This is speculation based off nothing. If it was true then you'd be able to upgrade uncommon to rare or from legendary to exotic. None of that makes sense, and why would you want to upgrade rare to legendary? I already have more legendary weapons than I know what to do with why do I need more legendaries to sit on my little vault. Furthermore who has room to hold on to rare weapons? It's not like we won't get 100s more in the future.
