Ubisoft did what bungie should of done.....
So I just got an email from ubisoft ceo saying he was sorry about the problems with unity and wanted to apologize. As a way to make up for it everyone gets first dlc free. And those that have season pass or gold version of the game get a free game. Wow that's solidifying their placement as the top game studio and best franchise despite how repetitive the game play is. It gets smoother every year. Please take note bungie and maybe try something along these lines.
Edit. Anyone that says destiny is not broken refuses to acknowledge any of the bugs currently in the game. Yes it's playable but no its not what it should be. They let the atheon glitch go unfixed for far too long. Which resulted in noobs gettint vex ans noobs gettinf helms resulting in payers having misleading light levels because they cheesed atheon. Secondly all there noobs getting vex led to a premature nerf of the vex which ruined an amazing gun (so I've been told). There are issues with voc to this day. The atheon fight is still glitchy to this day.

If you cant handle a couple of bugs that dont actually break the game play (and in fact rewarded countless people with gear they barely had to work for), then you should pretty much stop playing current generation games. MMO's have NEVER been perfect. They always have bugs, and they are always being worked on. If you want to experience true misery go out and play World of Warcraft for a couple years. I logged 95 day on a single character in that game (and had multiple alts) and Destiny has not experienced ANY of the same kind of issues. Classes were literally broken to the point where Blizzard remade them pretty much from the game up, encounters would be unbeatable because of faulty game dynamics and bugs... All Bungie has done is handed out free gear and frustrated a few people with animal themed errors. You are way more entitled then you have any right to be. As such I hope you enjoy the free shit Ubisoft gave you that will probably also be as buggy and broken as EVERY Ass(assins) Creed game has been. Free shit doesnt make the original shit smell better.

1 ReplyBioware stated that they won't be adding new characters because that would be a very long process with Dragon Age: Inquisition at it's current complexity in dialogue. Thery said they'd have to put some of it on the disc and they refused to do that.

5 RepliesSomeone has said this before, and I'll repeat what I said to them. AC Unity was a broken game at launch, it had countless bugs and glitches. It was a technical screw up. THAT is why Unison gave the DLC for free. Destiny is a solid game, period. It was well worth the money people spent on It. Most of the people complaining about it have played it for hundreds of hours and therefore, they definitely got their money's worth. Just because some people are disappointed with aspects of Destiny does not mean Bungie should be financially responsible for that. Please stop asking for some form of compensation for being an entitled gamer.

In other news Ubisoft released day one payed dlc with far cry 4,not even bungie made that error.

Unity is an extremely great game. Haven't encountered any bugs at all surprisingly. The story is fantastic and the game world feels massive. The framerate drop is no where near as awful as people make them out to be. I may drop from 30 to like 25, which is still playable. Most the bugs arise from PC hardware compatibility issues. Overall 9/10 would recommend if you enjoy the series.

Unity is bad. I'll be returning it. I don't care how much DLC they throw at me. Unless they put in some DLC where I can call in assassins like in revelations :D

Completely different scenarios. Unity was a hot terd of a mess and Ubisoft should be ashamed (which they are hence the DLC) for even releasing it in such a state. Destiny is solid as hell and offered a ton of content for 60 bucks. Hell, I've played this game for almost 300 hours! Did they hold back the DLC out of the game so charge us more money, YES and that's scandalous but I believe that was Activision but either way who cares it's over and everyone needs to move on.

This trend of devs shipping half finished games for full price and banking on marketing to sell their product needs to be broken right now, otherwise it'l be the definition of the gaming industry in a few years and nobody wants that. Nobody should just get on with a game which has failed to live up to potential and pretend it was what was promised . -blam!- that

2 RepliesDestiny didn't have as near of issues as Assassins Creed Unity, Destiny initially was in a better playable state then Unity. Bungie has owned up to issues with the game and rectified them for the better, and are constantly giving us update and addressing the community via updates to the game. Yeah there still are some lingering balancing issues and the absence of meaningful story telling, but all in all, Destiny has been a pretty solid game that plays great, looks great, and sounds great and has a ton of potential.

Its amazing that they did this, sadly my Far Cry 4 still doesnt work. There's a glitch in a mission where my screen goes perma black. Customer support has yet to reply... its been several days... :/

3 RepliesAgreed. This was absolutely fantastic customer satisfaction from Ubisoft. Not only did they acknowledge their mistakes instead of skating around the issues, but they gave detailed information on what they are doing to fix it, mentioning they're not stopping with one little update, they're prioritising fixes accordingly and giving us something to make up for it. Kudos Ubisoft, kudos.

In game micro transaction bullshit, review embargos, and modifying the version they sent to reviewers so that there wasn't micro transactions in it is all pretty crappy.
