I love how useful posts like these get almost nonrecognition, but the asshat who says he's a real level 30 gets 200 comments. Anyway, This is really interesting... I noticed something was amiss, but wasn't able to figure out why. Ive been charged completely by only five orbs. But other times three orbs didn't seem to do much at all. Great post, I was actually just searching to see if anyone has done a guide for newbies on Orbs. Its one of the most common questions I hear from new players--"What are orbs light?" One thing I cant seem to figure out is at the end of a strike it says Orbs of Light in the summary, but that number is not how many I created and Im fairly sure its not how many I Picked up, either. I also wonder if alpha lupi has any effect on the strength of orbs.

 • My team was discussing this the other day. What is the strikes stat actually counting? I think we decided it was the number of orbs you produced that were picked up by other people. What's fun is to see how many you can create on the Undying Mind strike. That part on the stairs where its non-stop yellow vex is an orb factory.

 • Orbs at the end of a strike = how many you picked up. 100% sure of this. FYI best strike for orbs is Omnigul. I think I had 220 one time when we did it with a 3 person Fireteam in Roc.
I love how useful posts like these get almost nonrecognition, but the asshat who says he's a real level 30 gets 200 comments.
In order to explain this phenomenon we'll have to go back a few hundred years or so. Back in the days farmers dedicated their lives to hard work. Their efforts made it possible for us to eat healthy, educate ourselves, study things, and evolve as a race. The farmers had no real interest in reading, they just did the hard work in belief that what they did would reward them in the end. Over the years the farmers were given a progressively larger cut of what their crops yielded in terms of money... But the lack of interest in education and such remains the same. Just as the farmers carried on in the field, so has their genes in todays human beings. There are those of us who cherish information and education, and then there's the priveleged degenerate decendants of old farmers: they don't want to work, they don't want to read, they just want the cake. Yours too. And mine as well. --------- Lets keep bumping this topic by sharing everyday experiences and whatever will keep this topic on the top. I'll start: Today I bought myself a brand new 46" LED TV. I'm satisfied to say the least!

 • Don't recall seeing that stat at the end of strikes. I'll keep an eye open next time. Usually I just stare at the rewards column. ;) I don't know if Alpha Lupi affects strength of orbs, but I do know that it lets you spawn more than the max of 8 orbs during your super use. I've seen someone spawn 9 orbs. I haven't seen it go higher though.
