Yeah everyone, let's give a hand to those team mates who sit at the back of the map picking people off while we capture objectives for them. Bravo, bad teammates. Bravo.

  • If they kill people coming towards one of your control points and you're capturing that point just remember them when they snipe the hell out of the person about to gun you down.

  • They'll kill one person and then they'll get flanked because they're camping. Good job. Useless team mate is useless. Idc what argument you give.

  • The whole point of a sniper is to camp. A good spot is way in the back where they have to go in front of you to get to you. A bad one is in the middle of a corridor.

Maybe in real life it is, but this is a video game. Snipers do not work like that in the video game, and this excuse is often used to justify ones lack of skill. EDIT: After reviewing your crucible stats, I can see why you might think this.

  • What do my stats have to do with anything? And the 'excuse' is simply tactical logic. Why run into the middle of a room into danger when you can kill from a safe distance. Also both exotic snipers are designed to let you stay in one place for a long time.

  • Camping at the back of the map in control with a sniper is useless. You're covering one angle on the map with no caps. And it has to do with your knowledge of how to be an effective player, and how the game mechanics work with each other. You clearly don't know how snipers are meant to be used in games like this, and I do not blame you for it. If you do not know much about a game, please do not provide an opinion on it.

  • I know plenty but I know that snipers are not glorified scout rifles. They are to be used at extreme long range. They are to be used tactically. I use them on control to hold off enemy advances. Now you didn't answer my question. Why precisely do my stats matter or affect my opinion

  • They're used mainly to take people out who are going to objectives, yes. It is not used to take out the same angle for the entire f*cking game. I use snipers, and almost exclusively at long ranges, but I don't camp with it. I use it when I spot someone long range, as it should be. This isn't balls to the wall, marine simulator where you sit in a corner for 2 months waiting for Bin Laden to come outside to check the mail. And if you have bad stats, chances are you don't understand how to be an effective player. It's a painful truth. I got in a game with a couple of my friends who invited me because they were tired of having scrub team mates. They were all talk like they knew everything but they rarely went positive, and if they did it wasn't by much. I usually had around a 3.0 every game I played with them absolutely carrying them. Because of instances like that, any sort of player with bad stats is irrelevant to me.

  • My stats are fine i just don't run around with an AR shotgun combo (usually) and I know how to play well. I come out pretty well in PVP matches. And the game may not be marine sim 2015 but since the exotic snipers are both designed to allow you to stay in one place for a long time, I will use them that way. And yes, snipers can be used around the battlefield, but it makes more sense to get a good angle and defend multiple control points if possible than running around attempting to quick scope everything.

  • I didn't say to quickscope everything, I'm saying to be an effective player. If your kpm are 2-3, then you are not an effective player. It is possible to be effective without using a shotgun, so you know. And 1.05 is not fine lol

  • 1.05 is positive, and it's a game so who gives a monkeys? And I don't camp because the maps for it rarely happen in the crucible. I do it as you suggested by necessity. But for me it's the most logical suggestion.
