Why isn't the iron banner a permanent game mode?
Why isn't the Iron Banner a permanent game mode? There are not many crucible modes as it is. Plus, you could still have the rep reset every week and add leaderboards.
In addition to that, you could make max level entirely obtainable through the Iron Banner. Just have a random piece of armor selected to sell per week, similar to how Xur works.

Or hell I'd be ok with only having his shop available during his normal designated week and the game mode just availible for playing with no diffrent rewards than normal crucible.

Because then it would be the only mode that good people ever play. I mean, who doesn't like playing with people who are [i][u]actually good[/u][/i]?

1 ReplyEdited by psycho joe: 11/25/2014 6:31:53 PMSounds good but lets say he would change each week wich armor pieces he sold as in legs/arms or helm/torso then there would be no actual reason to do the raid to get the gear except for the weapons, shader, and sparrow, and possible exotics... nvm there would actually be plenty of reasons but still, lots of people wouldnt want to do it any more and more peeps would say they're forcing PvP down our throats to reach 30...

It would be too much, man! Because of the nature of it, I think IB works best as a limited event - maybe it should be a tad more accommodating for the time-strapped, but I think bungie have pretty much got things right with the new IB

I you can just have them both separate. You have the people who actually play the raids and strikes and get good gear who wanna test themselves against other. And then you have the people who wanna nerf everything and only play pvp play against each other with their blue and green weapons since those have better stats for pvp apparently. In tired of getting killed by someone who has a fusion rifle they got at lvl 5 because it has a good charge rate. Separate them or let them slowly work themselves back into call of duty, that what I say.

I enjoyed this IB alot, I hit rank five bought everything, however I got the smg twice and only saw timurs lash once I did nt get either the ship or the pistol (hand cannon). I would love to see a game type that was like the iron banner I do not play crucible because I do not want to be killed by low lvl guns and low lvl players. its annoying. I like the idea of the Iron B being a random game mode once in awhile. I would like to see a game mode where we have lvl advantages enabled. also I hate the radar system. it needs to be refined halo reach had a nice radar system.

I would like to see something like this. It wouldn't have to be Iron Banner necessarily but could be some kind of a 'ranked' match instead of the regular crucible. Currently the Iron Banner is about the only thing that even resembles a multiplayer rank system. Unfortunately the only way to tell if someone has played a lot of Iron Banner is to look at their profile or if they happen to be wearing the right shader or have a certain playercard. Let's get a ranking system going for multiplayer, along with other great stuff.... - A real map rotation - Simplified voice chat options to hear and mute in the lobbies - Match summaries that include medals acquired, Iron Banner progress, Weapon stats maybe? There is a ton of room for improvement in the multiplayer mode for this game!

Should be it's the only part of the game that feels finished now. WAIT!!! That's why it makes the rest of the game look like complete crap. There's yer answer.

As to why there are limited time game modes in the first llace is a mystery. They should have all game modes accessible at all times, and should have private mode, but those are features they don't want us to have. Why is beyond me
