Or offer a large amount of settings one can customize if make matchmaking a thing for the raid. Though I'm not sure the following idea would be..matchmaking exactly. Let someone host a game, sit in an orbit "lobby" and set up a raid game. Allow them to select certain requirements before making it "public". All those that would be looking for a lobby would be able to filter certain options they want in a lobby and could narrow down groups. Also, by default, someone should be able to "inspect" another member's raid stats in game.

I love the idea of having a raid status in game. They should implement this. I don't think there should be matchmaking though.

Matchmaking could work if done right. If it had/has: -raid stats of players( # completed for 26/30-would depend on the lobby-, avg. k/d spread for raid lvl 26/30) -custom search filters -lobbies with custom requirements -ability to see various lobbies at a glance that one meets all requirements for (example: scroll up/down over lobbies under host names; hovering over them would show how many in lobby currently)

You don't have to us it for it to exist.

Agreed. And this is just one of the reasons. People AFK strikes, quit early, etc. All that stuff will translate to matchmade raids. Completely pointless effort to bring matchmaking to the raid when there are so many other problems that need to be fixed first.
