I think your ideas, are the same everyone hopes they bring in the DLC. I doubt they will change much... My biggest problem with the game is the RNG. I'm used to play mmo's, top favo is the mother of em all, wow. They should implement a constant loot system to strikes and raids. What i mean with that, is the fact that every moment you get loot in vog, it probably will be resources. This should be changed, every loottable should drop 1-2 raidpieces and 1-2 weapons. The ability to trade within the fireteam should be added aswell. One more thing tho, the raidgear in normal and hard mode should be different. If you get your gear from doing normal alone, except from the exotic weapons, why bother doing hard mode. The hard mode gear should have been 31 light lvl. Also the fact that atheon doesn't drop the headpiece on normal is ridiculous. So i have to obtain an almost full raidset with 1 exotic to try to clear hard mode, just to get a headpiece, whilst most of us use the exotic headpiece already?!? Rofl the team that agreed to launch it this way, prob never played an mmo... Anyway you have some good points.

  • I am a proponent of incentive systems as well. The harder the task, the greater the reward. In some sense Bungie implemented this (i.e. Vex Mythoclast is hard only), but they didn't go far enough. As a WoW fan (only vanilla wow really...) I also prefer loot tables over complete RNG. Too much RNG and you can ruin a game. Look at what happened to D3 at launch: Blizz applied too many RNG elements in order to create replayability. It didnt work. RNG is a great tool, yes, but there needs to be a balance. Too much and you are playing the lottery, too little and everyone wins. D3 has come a long way in regards to all the randomness, but they are still tweaking it. The point I'm trying to make is no one should have to raid a dozen times and not see armor drop once. This was my experience until yesterday. I got my first armor drops in VoG after 10 or so attempts (split between two characters). This kind of reward system is aggravating because of their current light-based leveling system. The only difference between a 30 and a 28-29 raider is luck.
