Sorry you didn't like it. I have various qualms with the game as well, but overall I like it. FYI, use those resupply codes, and grind the yellow legionaries in the beginning The Exclusion Zone mission. Mass glimmer in short order. Let a non-yellow guy kill you and you'll respawn right as the "fail safe" part starts. It's a grinding game and your progress resets every 3 months (or whenever the DLC drops). If that's not your thing, you should pass on it.

Yea, I bought the dlc expansion pack before I knew any better, and well... I feel rather cheated. I'm really wishing I can get a refund on that digital purchase. Don't get me wrong, I'll still played the game, because I payed good money for it and I'll be damned if I don't get my money's worth! But the utter lack of story in the game, having to dump hours into monotonous grinding, having to freakin' wait to gather more upgrade materials/grinding even more.... adding to that some nasty rumors that they actually HAD a full game's worth of content, but cut it out and are ransoming it back in the form of DLC... Really, earning money is not what Bungie should be worrying about. It's maintaining their REPUTATION, which I feel has been horrifically tarnished by what they did to this game. They will either bust their asses to get back the good reputation they lost, or stay the course and let it continue to go down the shitter like several other game companies have. Either way, my faith in this company has been crushed and I'll probably not buy another of their products.

I hate the fanbois most of all. Fukkun nuthuggers...

Edited by MistroPain: 11/23/2014 1:15:15 PMI agree with your statement about this product being a massive failure with so much potential, but I dont think its right to assume all future Bungie products will be the same. Bungie have a great track record of games with one huge let down. Remember these guys made Halo, and as much as some people despise this game, that game broke into new territories with each of the original 3, and Reach was awesome too. Matchmaking, Forge, Armour Permutations, etc. etc. They kept improving the original formula. They also retain their rights as the best multiplayer mapmakers out there. Even though the maps in this game are all designed for the same number of players (6-12 players), they are all well designed and largely gorgeous to look at (Just need more variety in sizes). I am hoping they pull what Ubisoft Montreal did with AC1-AC2 transition when we get our hands of Destiny 2. They took a pile of stinking garbage and turned it to gold. Its too bad that series has returned to a pile of stinking garbage with each new game and the stories becoming crappier and crappier, but thats a discussion for a different forum. This is the first in the series, lets hope it recieves the same dedication they had with Halo in its transition to the next game.

I agree with you on this. Anyone who still tries to justify this game in any way would just be wrong. If you haven't noticed how activi$ion has literally screwed the gaming community than you're blind as a bat. I wanted to defend bungie, to think this game was what they said it was going to be. But it's not. I will still play, only because they already have my money for the two dlc's. But once that's over I'm never considering a bungie product again. Time to pick up WoW again :)

Its a beta..nothing else to say

TL;DR "Giant wall of psychobabble"

Spent an hour typing how much he hates a game that he continues to play.

Hey September called. They want their post back.
-
I quit playing a month ago, been haunting the forums to see what's new. While also seeing if the DLC is worth it. Which for me not even worth 20 USD. Destiny in its whole was to be a game for both my girlfriend and my self to dive in and get involved in its story. But there isn't any other then a much of the same point A point B and hold off X waves. And watch our ships move a few inches loading screens. Plus with Activision already screaming about Destiny 2 its really feeling like its getting the CoD treatment.

I'm having so much fun in Dragon Age Inquisition. Just the Hinterlands area alone there are more contents, more dialogues and more stuff to loot than the entire Destiny. 'Become Legend'... Hahahaha Bungie should change it to 'Become Anonymous' because that's why all the guardians are.
-
Destiny is great bye to u guys wont see so much crying finally but yet your still here? Hmm and the dlc looks great and again bet u will be back crying again just stay gone plz.

This sums up my gripes, but I'd like to add the unsustainable gear upgrade model. Armor and weapons take forever to upgrade by "leveling". While this is not an issue in itself, bungie expects us to gain new level caps and attack power caps by REPLACING said items, starting this process over again. Doing this with the raid gear right now results in a loss of 2 light level for every piece replaced, which then takes ages and tons of "farm-only" mats to regain. Imagine it a few xpacs from now, say, this time next year, when you could be losing 6-8 light levels for each piece, and grinding out twice the upgrade materials! Each piece's leveling process will make the pre-fix atma grind in FFXIV look like a wonderful experience in efficiency!

Edited by Marsaderre: 11/23/2014 1:04:30 PMNot to be the he voice of reason here... If bungie makes a great game, like what the initial offering for destiny was? I'd buy it. However. . . I'll never preorder another game. Bungie and the misrepresentation they initially demonstrated actually has made me a better consumer. There is zero brand loyalty though, in fact I'm much more hesitant to buy anything they make.

I'm inclined to agree at this point. While I really do enjoy the game, the direction it seems to be taking isn't very appealing. Throw in all the server issues that plague it, and you end up with no incentive to buy any future content. For the record, I was still willing to support it up till a couple weeks ago, but the lack of support concerning technical issues has left me unwilling to drop any more money into a game that I can only play once or twice a week at most.
-
Agreed. I bought a fancy pants edition, so I've got the upcoming DLC, but I won't be buying more, and I won't be buying sequels.
-
I've played outside before. The graphics were AMAZING, but the storyline sucked.

Edited by Hene: 11/23/2014 7:50:13 PMI've gotten more than my money's worth from this game. Any game that can give me better than 1h/$1.00 is solid. Edit: I mean in the sense that I'm still having fun.
-
Are you a professional troll paid by a rival a corporation to convince people this game is trash? Or do you just have some personal vendetta against bungee?
-
Aw ok buh bye now
-
Good. No one cares. Go play something else. There is a lot of games that came out. Leave the forums. Never come back. Adios.
-
So have you sold your copy of the game or are you still playing?
-
You know, after this game, I feel the same way.

What potential XD it's an FPS LT aim RT shoot
