Why does Bungie hate the Suros Regime?
It's a very competitive rifle at the moment, but Bungie has more or less said that it's getting nerfed because everybody's using it - and they don't want everybody using the same gun.
So why can the ONLY possible solution in the ENTIRE universe be to nerf the Suros? It's not good because it's overpowered; it's good because it's user friendly. It has ammo conservation by firing slower for more damage, it has accuracy which is an absolute must in PVP since headshots are the only ones that matter. It has range, which is also sometimes helpful in PvP although everybody hates the Moon and Mars giant maps... Bottom line, the gun isn't actually OP, it's just one of a few guns that actually does what it is supposed to.
My suggestion would be DON'T nerf Surso; iust bring underperforming guns up to its level *cough* scout rifles *cough* pulse rifles. I don't particularly like the Suros, but it should not become a rubber-band flinging paperweight.

The real question is, why does Bungie hate the player? Then again, it's not so much they hate the player as much as they LOVE money.

They pretty much killed a skill gap that existed with assault rifles when they f_cked with the precision damage Most are weak spray and prey assault rifles and not worth using at all after that "tweak" The suros' ease of use to maintain steady precision damage is why its preferred overall, why use others that will give u the same result but at a cost? When theres a lowered skillgap, ease of use weapons are always preffered! >_> Suros isn't OP, but bungie just screwed other assault rifles to crap if u want it bluntly.

It's amazing at damage output at ranges, should be a scout rifle. I use Thorn a lot more than Suros.

I love how people hate on the Suroes so bad and talk about how they stop using it cause they are to good... Really guys come on now. The suroes has already been needed once and it can be beat by a plethora of weapons if the people are half way decent using them. Everyone's thought is man I did well that game better stop using that. That's completely ridiculous. Yes it's good but it can be beat by simple legendary weapons as well and my thoughts is that shouldn't be happening. Let's get off the fricken nerf kick everyone is on please and just enjoy the game. Community is crying way to much

5 RepliesThe Suros is cheap as shit. I got one in a drop and my ktd soared. Then I realized that I wanted to be good at the game rather than relying on a 0 recoil automatic scout rifle with health regeneration so I broke it down and moved to hand canons. Even they are OP to be honest but they're the ones I find hardest to use. I don't think it should be nerfed because it adds challenge to the crucible as it levels the playing field I guess. Personally I'd rather suck (which I do) and improve (which I am) than suck and have a crutch. That's why everyone who owns one is crying about a potential nerf. Because they know the gun is OP as balls. Personally I'd leave it alone, let the babies have their bottle to keep the player base up.

1 ReplyI like the SUROS. It;s great for pvp and pve. The range and stability are almost the same as a sniper. I can remember times were i killed a sniper with the SUROS. It has insane range. I agree with krollbar. Scout and pulse rifles dont have any power. The only good ones are the MIDA and the Red Death. Those are EXOTICS. I dont want them to fill up my exotic slot!

6 RepliesThey're nerfing it (slightly) because it's still just a little too good. Just the other day I was able to pop 3 people attacking me on a single magazine over at C point on Blind Watch because of the increasing damage and healing on kills. I'd like it better if it worked the way the description says honestly, where each BULLET (not kill) has a chance to restore health, as in a chunk of it (relative to the damage done maybe?) not automatically bump you back up to full health. Currently it functions as a strictly better Red Death.

11 RepliesSuros is not a "competitive" auto rifle right now. It is a [i]dominant[/i] one. In IB last week, I ran as a lvl 29 Hunter and Warlock with a maxed Shadow Price and Vision of Confluence. The only auto rifle that I [i]consistently[/i] lost to when going one-on-one with someone of a similar skill level was the Suros. I'd rarely see other autorifles listed. The combination of high damage, self-healing, and unrealist accuracy at long range basically gives an unfair advantage to the person carrying it. ...and by "unfair" I mean that it allows you to win gunfights that you would have lost had you been carrying any other weapon in the game. In Iron Banner----which makes NO pretense at "balance"----it was simply annoying. But I can easily see whaty Bungie wants to nerf the thing for reguarl Crucible play. That---and the Mythoclast. Even after its nerf, it was an exremely frustrating weapon to have to go up against. I can't even imagine what it was like before that Nerf.

43 RepliesThe SR is a noob weapon for noob players. You can get sniped by it across most maps for 3/4 of a second and die. I own one and choose not to use it. Congratulations you can keep your right trigger pressed down with your x-hairs on the body of a player for a fraction of a second. I smash Suros users generally, but not for better weapons, just by skill. It is impossible to smash an entire opposing team of them though. It outperforms scout rifles at scout rifle range, and in some cases, snipers as well. It will outshoot a mythoclast at close range too, even if the VM is making all shots on target. They shouldn't nerf it, they should DELETE it. Now, that weapon that your warlock is using is a good example of a nasty weapon that rewards skill with mad kills. My dog could kill you with a suros without thumbs.

Here's an idea, increase the recoil TREMENDOUSLY so it can't easy to use at middle to long range, keep the stats the same, maybe decrease the chance of getting healed per bullet and that would make it pretty balanced

8 Repliesno, inside it's category, it's still painfully better than it's peers. in the high damage Galahad category where it stands, it has higher natural impact (due to being exotic) and gains more impact when aiming down sights, essentially making it a fully automatic scout rifle with a higher fire rate, better stability, and self healing/EVEN MORE bonus damage for firing from the bottom half of it's seemingly endless magazine. I understand that you like your rifle, but it needs to be brought in line cause as it stands it is the only correct answer in crucible. if you have one and you're not using it, you're making the wrong decision. that is what the game's mechanics are enforcing, and since everyone has one, everyone uses it. Nerf it, rework it, or buff it's competitors. pick one.

3 RepliesThe problem is that they make powerful weapons too accessible like having Xur sell it for 23 strange coin. I can solo the weekly on hard with 2 lvl 29 and already have 18 Strange coin. Maybe stop giving Xur weapons to sell and start selling energy/asendant shards to level up instead? Raise the price of weapons? There's still a lot that needs to be worked on in regards to how you aquire weapons and Gear in this game.

I find it awfully ironic he says that, and then once iron banner rolls around, EVERY DAY the bounty for 25 auto rifle head shots. What do you think people are going to use to get headshots with an auto rifle. SUROS. the one gun everybody got mad at deej for not nerfing because it was too strong in pvp. Seems ironic that they pushed auto rifles in iron banner, and then they pushed accurate auto rifles, and what's more accurate than suros

5 RepliesIf they nerf the Suros anymore than they already have, most of the legendary AR's will be better than it. That, and most people would start using The Last Word, and then that weapon would be nerfed. That would make 4 fully upgraded exotics in my arsenal that have been nerfed to shit.

12 RepliesI think people use certain weapons like auto rifles because they are full auto lol I don't think that the majority of people using auto rifles is because they think they are op it's just common sense in real life full auto would be chosen over semi or burst and the people who play this game just happen to live in the real world, lol well some of us at leased but most likely all of us are physically on the same planet. People would lean to the auto rifle just because of their real life stance on semi auto, full auto and burst. the suros reg was a item xur had when this game was flooded with people so it's pretty common and a popular exotic because of its looks/ full auto Function which would be the reason why people use it, not because it's op I don't even have a suros and i have no complaints about it I don't have the math behind it so I can't say that it is and can't say it is not but I can see how bungie is looking at this like they are op because of the popularity of the gun, because most people will exploit at any chance they get but I believe auto rifles period are just more appealing to the average person and that's why more people use them.
