I hope you're trolling kid
-
Not a troll, do you not know the definition of a hard scope? OP hardly takes his view away from ADS even when there's no players in site. I'm not saying he should be quick scoping or half scoping either cuz that's not feasible in this game. Keeping your view ADS as a sniper for prolonged times is how you get killed from the sides and from behind, its a noob sniper move. People that are good with snipers will have an enemy in their view, scope in and adjust the reticle on the target and then shoot. OP was hardcore hard-scoping. Not discrediting his triple kill because that's great, but there's nothing wrong with giving a little flak to better his sniping habits.

Go tell a marine sniper this Go try to quick scope a real sniper see how fast you dislocate your shoulder This isn't COD gtfo

Edited by Sleepysnipersloth: 11/22/2014 6:51:42 PMArmy Sniper Veteren here. Your spotter finds your targets for you, calls them in, and THEN the trigger gets set up to adjust for distance wind value and movement speed. It is a bad idea to set up the trigger(the least experienced member of the team) to find targets. Also, sniper overwatch is a movie/game thing. doesnt happen. also, also, also- one shot one kill doesnt mean you never miss. it means you shouldnt fire more then once since it will give away your position. Shoot.move.communicate.kill. All that having been said. He was hard scoping. scoping in vs constantly scoped on a single avenue of approach is the diffrence between "sniping" and "hard scoping"

Edited by LucidFever: 11/22/2014 3:54:14 AMIt's a damn sniper you kid. What else would you do?! Quick scope?
-
OP was... SNIPING! That's what they do in real life! Stop calling it "hard" scoping!

Before I could watch it? Aw come on. Was it a quick scope Montage? Gosh I hate those. I hate quick scopers. Not that I think they're bad people, I just hate that they quick scope. There's a reason developers have been trying it remove it from fps games. It's not supposed to be possible.
-
yeah too bad this isn't real life, this is a game. a game is played to have a winner, if you don't play right then you risk losing. hard scoping is a bad habit that will get you killed in many situations. don't believe me? try it! try being scoped in all match and see how many kills to deaths you get
-
I have. Normally a sniper is hundreds of yards away from the battlefield. If I snipe it's because I have a nice long line of sight and I'm defending a position. And I don't stay scoped in so I get a wider view before scoping in on my targets.
-
Yea hundreds of yards in Destiny.
And I don't stay scoped in so I get a wider view before scoping in on my targets.
Yet, this is what you are arguing about. Grasping at straws, he is 100% correct, get over it.
-
And I meant normally as in real life
-
I mean in games like Call of Duty (larger maps) and Battlefield. And a couple of the larger maps in Destiny too.
-
This isn't CoD go kill yourself for bringing your trash to a great game like thus
-
WTF lol if you can't identify that, that is a hard scope then you don't know terminology withing FPS games. No one is asking the OP to quick-scope which is an entirely different subject, which is not feasible in this game. That type of hard scope is what gets you killed from the sides and from behind, its a noob move. Any decent sniper will wait for a player appear in site before scoping in, or scope in a little early in anticipation. They wont be scoped in all match like OP just did.
-
I came off scope couple times and was off scope right before the shot was fired but I respect your call, stay scoped too long in Destiny and you're bound to get flanked from behind (unless of course you have P&T), which is another epic gun. But... This game is not call of Duty and yes no scoping is near impossible so I think we need to come up with new lingo
