After countless hard mode raids only to be rewarded weapons, ships and energy I was ready to quit this game. No thanks to RNGesus, I'll be reaching lv 30 by tomorrow morning. To everyone hating on the IB. Blow me! The sense of self entitlement in this community makes me sick.
Note ** I erased one of my level 29's to increase my chances at 30 with my Titan. Also it's my belief that hard mode is meant for level 30's with an acception of a 29 or two. With that said, beating VOG will be that much easier for me with a 20% boost in damage output.

It's a game......I play it for fun. I got the IB boots for my Warlock cause the raid boots wouldn't drop for me. I have enough raid experience to be a good ally in the fireteam. Some raid 30s don't even the first thing about the relic lol. I personally think the IB gear looks better than the raid gear but the raid gear has better perks. lv30 is lv30. You may be a raid 30 or a raid/ib 30 or a raid/exotic/ib 30 or a raid/exotic 30 but now you stand on equal ground to be a good asset in the hard raid. Besides, who cares about the raid 30s elitism. Let them feel that way cause they won't when all the ib 30s start getting their full raid set and other 29s who do as well. It won't matter. You don't have to play with them. Actually the raid 30s will start saying, "I was a true 30 way before you peasant." lol

Good job welcome to the 30rats I hate 29ers

Hey, look at it this way the guys complaining about IB, they gotta feel like they accomplished something. Even if that something is on a video game.
-
IB discrimination, this foolishness must stop. Snobby raid whores are trying to split the community! ;)

Iron banner 30s take more dedication than reaching 30 through raids. I've done the hard raid more than enough times to know I would be better off grinding guaranteed gloves. F the haters, iron banner grinding shows more dedication and more earning. Half this community doesn't know wtf "earned" means so who cares what they think.
The sense of self entitlement in this community makes me sick.
I agree, We should all just make posts like this telling everyone to blow you cause your now 30, and in now way self entitled.

technically.. everyone who owns destiny has bought them 1-3 30s...

That's right man, be proud of that armor, 30 is 30. You should make an entire post about 3 paragraphs long about how fun it is leveling up that armor.

I have the raid gauntlets and chest piece, as well as the helm which only drops on hard. I need the boots to hit level 30. I will hopefully get them from the iron banner. Those who have the hard raid helm and raid gear AS WELL as iron banner gear to get level 30 have worked harder to get to level 30 than those who just got luckier.

I'm level 30 from iron banner, Idgaf!

Edited by Neutrill: 11/21/2014 6:25:17 PMIm the polar opposite of you. I have 1 pair of each raid armour (outside the helm) and 2 chests. I have yet to get a raid gun. Ill be level 30 with an exotic helm, with no raid guns. Im using IB boots and gauntlets though. I refuse/hate farming Spirt Bloom so I'm not levelling up the raid gear when I have other level 30 armour. Discipline is also the least of my concern of the 3, so that doesn't help either.

It has nothing to do with earning. Many on-line games find many players in the exact same spot in the game, be it level, gear, trophies, etc. Some gamers have such fragile egos that wrap up so much of their IRL self worth into a video game they desperately seek alternate takes on reality that makes them somehow "better" than someone else in the exact same spot.... in their minds. They make up cute names for stuff, twist and rationalize in really contorted ways all in a desperate grab for a little ego self-stroking. While it is all rather transparent, it is also very amusing.
