After countless hard mode raids only to be rewarded weapons, ships and energy I was ready to quit this game. No thanks to RNGesus, I'll be reaching lv 30 by tomorrow morning. To everyone hating on the IB. Blow me! The sense of self entitlement in this community makes me sick.
Note ** I erased one of my level 29's to increase my chances at 30 with my Titan. Also it's my belief that hard mode is meant for level 30's with an acception of a 29 or two. With that said, beating VOG will be that much easier for me with a 20% boost in damage output.

No one cares you get to 30 how you want you gotta grind hours of IB to get the gear so how is it not earning? ignore stupid people :)
-
People just need something to complain about.
-
I'm a full raid gear lvl 30 and doing the banner for variety. First and foremost congrats on lvl 30. I personally don't think it matters where you got gear from as long as your weapons are leveled and you know how to play. I think banner gear is harder to get vs raid gear due to the lvl of players. Raid is just luck of the draw

Edited by Detroit Burn: 11/22/2014 2:49:19 PMBeing level 30 is nice cause you're maxed, but then you realize you beat the game and there is nothing to do. I only log on these days when I feel like helping groups do the raid, so they can get their gear, but overall...super boring end-game in Destiny.
-
I agree, I kept doing the raid over and over on both my warlock and my titan and got both of them to rank 4 in the iron banner so I could get the pieces I needed that wouldn't drop for me in the VoG. I will continue to do the raid though.

Same here

Been stuck at 29 since september. Raided since the second week it was available, no luck with RNG (two identical characters). Iron Banner 2.0 came and I was given a chance to actually earn 30 and that's exactly what I did. Feels great!
-
Random luck being carried through the raid: EARNING Hard work against other players for hours on end: NOT EARNING It makes perfect sense if you convince yourself to not think about it.
-
How about we all earned it cause we had to farm -blam!-ing materials ugh
-
I earned level 30 raiding my as off. Then I earned it again by murdering my fellow guardians. Just call me Dredgen Yor.
-
I "earned" my levels by going to work everyday and taking a part of my paycheck and purchasing the damn game at GameStop.
-
Earning it In IB is just as .ugh as earing the raid I have 3 raid pieces Who the fck is gnna tell me that grinding iron banner for the boots to get a 4th piece is not earning it. I could give to fck what you ppl think
-
Congrats. As for me been 30 for a bit, but lvl IB for the boots so I could have my stats exactly the way I want them to be. Also to collect the guns.
-
My Warlock still has only a chest piece from raid. I'll be getting IB gear for her as well. It's frustrating to play the raid so many times and get no gear. Sure, I have two lvl 30's, but I'd have 3 if it weren't for RNG! IB boots and arms with my exotic helm will get my lock to 30. Besides, the IB gear is smexy. And at least I feel like I'm earning my IB gear. I have to perform well, help my team win, gain rep and complete bounties to rank up and have enough glimmer to purchase the armor pieces. Yeah, that's right, I said it: IB gear is how you EARN level 30!
-
LV 30..... LV 1 if it means that much to anyone you need to have a serious evaluation of your life. Just have fun people.
-
It'll be a lot easier to get to lvl 30 when the dlc drops.
-
Unfortunately, bounties and this awful Iron Banner pish to me is the truest form of earning anything in this game... Getting a random drop is earning feck all, you are kidding yersel' oan if you really think it is.
-
Iron banner is earning your gear because it's a sure thing you will get it raid gear is random and you need luck to get it i still need raid boots to be 30 and i've come this far im not going to back down from those boots because bad luck
-
I got a helm and boots for a hunter this week And a chest peice and boots for my warlock This week Only raid gear I've ever got Also got vision of confluence
-
It was disgusting how they didn't put real quality community content and put raid elitism in their game. One of the most promoted games of all time and it's a WoW Raid rng douchefest!
-
I gathered random people for the hard raid, and everyone was like "Dude you need to get your raid gear, it is by far the best you can get and you will actually be helpful. The iron banner gear will only cause you to die a lot and become annoying to us. Having that gears means you don't know how to do the raid on hard mode." To all lvl 30 that have raid gear..... SUCK MY CHOCOLATE SALTY BALLS!!! I kill the raid and I can definitely kill your sorry asses on the crucible too, therefore Iron Banner players are superior than you raid elitists. Damn I hate these people.

Edited by nerdy dropzz: 11/22/2014 3:42:01 AMTook me 26 raids to be able to have a Lvl 30... Definately earnt mine

People who claim they earned their gear from the raid have some validity to their claims. People who claim they earned their gear from the Iron Banner have some validity to their claims. People who claim they earned their gear from the Nightfall or Xur have some validity to their claims. People who claim they earned their gear from a random drop from a level 2 Dreg have mental issues.
-
Rock that ib gear with pride played with many 30s in raid gear who were shit and got lucky drops pushing him
-
I bought the boots from lord saladin and got to 30. Then i did the raid with my clan. Guess what i got from the raid. THE GOD DAMN BOOTS THAT I WAS AFTER FOR SO LONG!!
-
Raid is earning gear, iron banner is also earning gear. If you work for something you earned it. I know people can go AFK, but in the raid thats damn near impossible and in thw iron banner that one guy not playing could screw the whole team over.
