The only thing I think they screwed up on was how/why the nerf and the E3 presentation.
They made promises, they couldn't keep. (Bosses dropping loot, hand cannons being secondary, vehicles drop you in etc)
I like the loot system. Its RNG which is how an MMO's should be.

This is the only disappointment for me aswell. Obviously there were internal disputes during development, but lack of story aside the gameplay is sweet. I think they did what they could to keepthe ship afloat. When I get bored of it I stop playing but I end up coming back because its a fun shooter. The game engine is good for the most part tho crucible connectivity is sketchy for me, hopefully destiny 2 will come through with a more expansive/detailed story/background that isnt just grimoire cards.
