I've seen evidence of some the more active, stubborn, and non-responsive LFGers continuing to post wherever they want and how often they want despite our best efforts.
Note: for now, there is no good way to "batch" mitigate this problem. Please keep doing your polite part, and with the more insolent and persistent of LFG spammers, mute them.
You guys are awesome even as your patience is tested.

mute them? why not report them for actual moderation instead if they're insulting people and swearing?
-
Absolutely report vulgarity and insults. I've suggested that before. I'm talking about muting the super stubborn LFGers who continue to spam LFG despite being asked not to. There are some who keep doing it and pretend they aren't seeing the helpful replies. Muting that type ensures you'll never have to see/hear from them again.

kind of hard when they call your friend a pedophile and HE gets banned for saying that's worse than any swear. You guys sometimes take things out of context. Now I'mm not saying it was you but one of the ninja's
-
I don't have the context to what you're talking about. You're right. Context is important and hard to glean in some cases. But sometimes a CoC violation is the just a clear CoC violation. Who called someone a pedophile?
-
jasonbruce in this sub thread http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/78782105/0/0/1 I got banned too but I don't care, my friend shouldn't have gotten it though.
-
If he violated the CoC, then he should have. That thread looks thoroughly moderated.
-
Alright.
-
A VOG forum wouldn't be such a bad idea
-
There is one....
-
You should make a separate vault of glass section on b.net.
-
The subcategory for that is #raids nested in #recruiting. VoG isn't general enough, especially, with Crota's End and Reef Raid coming out.
-
True. But it should be more clear for people to post on there.
-
There is. It's called #Recruiting. If you're on the app and don't see it (right under #Destiny) you'll have to close the app and open it back up for it to reappear.

Patience, tolerance, kindness.... and a hot cup of tea.

OMG this is awesome

You have no idea. The worst is the users who act all sarcastic and entitled. Good god it just makes me lose patience typing it here. If there's one rule that works in the situation, it's two wrongs don't make a right. Although if they continuously call you a no lifer nerd...its really difficult to filter out between nice reply and mean reply. One person was entirely sarcastic, it was just infuriating, trying to help and getting a willy wonka reply out of the blue. Im hoping it gets addressed in a weekly update so it's seen by more users that the posts go in #Recruitment. A forum lesson from the grizzled ancients and forum ninjas regarding forum usage.
-
Two wrongs don't make a right, but 3 rights make a left!
-
Yeah can't you guys suspend their accounts or something? Like for a day?
-
Put the fear of the banhammer in these fools or make a temporary mod position so we can help in actually moving these posts to the proper forum. Getting tired of asking them to start using #Recruitment and being insulted for my trouble.
-
You know they can't ban them if they don't break the CoC. It can get annoying/frustrating when you try to tell them where to post correctly and the just insult you. You shouldn't let the users that post in the wrong sub forum/willfully ignore posting in the wrong forum ruin your time here. I know users say that muting is for people who can't handle internet bullshit but if it's making the forums not fun do what Shacker suggested and mute them.
