For awhile i hated shotguns, Cursed them every match, but in all seriousness they are only effective when your right in the face of your opponent, not even a little bit useful otherwise. Fusion rifles on the other hand actually could use some tweaking, the power, range, or charge rate need to be adjusted (slightly) to be more In line with shotguns, i.e. useful in close proximity, not so much otherwise. What your suggesting is basically a nerf to the guns whether you worded it that way or not, your tired of getting killed by them so you want their use limited. Also, If your "adjustment" actually happened you would see a hundred more threads about certain AR's being too powerful, so you solved one problem but created another, see what i'm getting at? Piece of advice, instead of trying to force the game into what you want it to be, try adapting to the game, its a lot more fun that way.

  • I tried. I ran around with a fusion rifle once getting too many easy kills and honestly that was no fun at all. Sure it's nice to know if I'm having a bad game I can pull out a fusion rifle and boost the kd instantly almost by just having it out. I don't do that anymore. It's too easy and takes no skill.

  • Well the difference with this nerf is it does not affect PvE as Special Ammo applies to the special ammo crates on crucible. The way I see it is that special weapons should be powerful but be limited on how much ammo you can obtain throughout the match. Not as powerful as heavy weapons but decent enough. The aim for me is to make special weapons be a compliment to primaries instead of making people use their special weapons as their main weapon of choice. Adapting to tactics is fine, it should be no problem, but I think it's rather odd that special weapons are relied on far more by players than primary weapons. Especially in a PvP environment. As for primary weapons. I tend to favor the AR if I have to confess but I have seen some beastly Scout Rifles. It's up to Bungie to strike the fine line between each primary weapon.
