Have to put in your time in the fields pickin' bloom for the man. So tired of it. It's ridiculous.

I agree. For me it's helium farming. They're promising that materials gathering or economics is going to involve less farming and more playing, and I can't wait. While I agree that MMOs involve farming, there's a lot of things that can be done in Destiny to make it less tedious: 1) Every mission, event, etc., should reward you with the materials from that planet. No more empty boxes in the summary screen! 2) Dismantling anything should result in something. Right now, you put a lot of stuff into something and you get only parts or armor stuff out, and way less than you put in. We must be really lousy dismantlers as guardians, because it looks like we do the job with a hammer from the results we get. 3) Glimmer should let you buy any materials and anything should be capable of being sold for marks or glimmer. This is a common aspect of MMOs -- selling your stuff after a mission at the various vendors and receiving a common currency which can then be used to buy other things. I'm OK with the marks concept, but glimmer needs to be way more useful than it is right now. Making the economic system more efficient isn't taking away the farming aspect of Destiny -- it's just letting us decide just what type of farming we want to do, instead of being forced to run around looking in caves for loot chests.
