Would crucible be better off if they nerfed all guns? I don't mean lower the dmg on guns but take them out all together and turn it into a goldeneye- slappers only battle. I don't see why people are so set on nerfing things and taking out xur. If anything we should be shouting put MORE content and more frequent events in if anything.

  • I don't think you realize that reducing special ammo would help by preventing more nerfs. For future weapons that may be labeled as OP, they won't get nerfed into oblivion. Look at the gjallarhorn and the truth. Imagine if there were more heavy ammo? People would be SCREAMING for more nerfs. Gjallarhorn would be nerfed within mere days. And I cannot tell you how many people I've literally glanced at, shot my rocket, and watched The Truth LITERALLY make a turn and blow the guy up. These weapons have been fine, because they are used sparingly. Bungie realized this, and made heavy ammo drops shorter. By doing this, nothing has to be nerfed. It would have the same affect on special ammo. Nothing else has to be nerfed if it is used less. That means less people raging, and more focus on Primary weapon gunfights. With less raging, this means less nerfs because less people will be killed by these weapons. So then you can keep your shotgun blink combo, and I don't have to be killed the entire match by your SPECIAL weapon on close quarters maps (which is the majority of them). Give this idea a chance guys, it makes so much sense.

  • I didn't suggest any form of nerf for the special weapons other than ammo in Crucible. While an idea for a mode similar to that could be cool. I don't think messing around with the balance of the guns will fix the problem overall. Like I said in the OP. Nerfing/buffing the weapons will also impact PvE. Which is not the aim for this topic.
