Pulse rifles need a slight buff
I love using the pulse rifle but it seems to be under powered. Compared to many of the other primaries it is not nearly as effective. I think a way to fix would be to increase the impact by 5 to 10 percent. I am unsure as to the exact amount it needs to upped but I feel over 10 percent would be too much and under 5 would not be enough. Of course I am sure the people at Bungie can find the sweet point.

Yeah I got the raid pulse rifle, and even with the arc damage I feel like it sucks.

I agree i like the pulse riföes very much but the exotic bad juju is just useless for strikes. The lower mobs can be handled but everything above is a torture. It would be great if it hat slight more dmg, more stability and more bullets in the mag:) Thanks Greets Alexus

YES!! I used to only use pulse rifles because I love the bridge from full auto to semi. From the scout buff and the auto nerf, what in the hell happened to pulse rifles... They got shafted some how

I don't use them for PvE very often but PVP is a lot of fun. Most challenging gun in my opinion and it feels great when you aim two shots perfectly for an easy kill. You just have to get crits or else they don't pay out as much damage as anything else.

2 RepliesDamage isn't the way to buff them and only maybe the Red death needs a rof increase. What they need to do is increase burst accuracy and stability. All the fast fires do pretty well but a lot of the time you don't win because you simply didn't hit the head with one of your rounds.

They need a rof increase. The need to basically be like scout rifles but with less range.

When you compare Pulse Rifles to other primary's they are close to scout rifles in the way they need to be handled in game they take some skill to use (just as hard to aim as a scout rifle but the damage is significantly less when compared) I agree that they need a slight buff to impact or overall damage by I wanna say 10%-15%. I use the timepiece and VOC when comparing the two weapons and one burst of the pulse rifle all critical hits only hit for 189 total and the VOC is crit hitting for about 232 both fully maxed out. I enjoying using the pulse rifle but it's not a viable weapon in end game content when other weapons take the same amount of skill to use but do significantly more damage.

They're good on pinpointing precision damage over distance, but they are slow and slow handling and you're screwed in close range. Maybe larger magazines would help too? If you don't headshot or if you miss a burst in pvp, you're -blam!-ed. I don't see them used in pvp much at all.

2 RepliesTighter bullet spread in each burst, more impact, more ammo in magazine. Recoil is fine, range is fine, fire rate is usually fine compared to impact. Reload is fine, but animation seems to finish before it registers being reloaded. I used super pox vlo, now I use praedyths time piece.

Pulse rifles require good aim you need to hit all three bullets from the burst in order to reach the guns full potential I aim low and then work up when killing enemies no homo lol

Agreed. Not really any pulse that's worth using endgame. Easily the weakest overall weapon type nowadays.

3 RepliesAs a predominantly mid range player, I feel your pain on this. Pulse rifles are underpowered, I usually have to resort to pulling out wither another weapon. You are right that they only need a tiny buff, if that sweet spot could be found, I probably wouldn't use anything else.

Indeed they do especially bad juju if bungie do what i have heard then bad juju will have its magazine sized tripled and its impact doubled maybe then people will stop calling it a pile of shit.

I agree, pulse rifles are a bit of a poor choice for primary next to scout or even the nerf'd auto, slight buff.. but not too much.

I agree, I like them in the sense that I WANT to use them, but they just pale in comparison when it comes to other weapons. I have Red Death and a couple other legendary ones with perks like body shots increae precision damage or miss a shot and a fourth fires free and I still fine them underwhelming :(
