I couldn't find any information on how much more damage your weapons do at 300 than, say, 248. This is especially relevant in the hard raid, as many people go in without upgraded weapons and it feels like that makes it a lot more difficult. These results are super preliminary, but I'd like to find a few people to help with more detailed testing. Me: Level 29 Warlock. Enemy: Level 30 Supplicant Weapon: Praedyth's Revenge Damage @ 248 Atk: 406 Damage @ 300 Atk: 533 This is an increase of 31.3%. Almost a third extra damage. I'm going to try over the next week to see if this changes across weapon type and player/enemy level, and to find out the shape of the damage curve as Attack increases. Please post below if you can give a bit of time to this. Especially useful would be: Level 30s; people with duplicate weapons; people planning on upgrading a weapon and willing to test it at each stage against different level enemies. There is now fairly good understanding of most of the ways in which Destiny works, but Attack causes confusion. It will only take us a bit of directed research to confirm or reject the various theories. Thank you! ouermyhte
Level 30... Fatebringer crit = 1505 (weapon maxed at 300)

  • Cool, thank you. Is that against normal, red health enemies? Does anyone have a non-upgraded Fatebringer they could test?

It's the same as any red baseline enemy. I would use a minion out side the VOG on Venus (patrols). These are typically level 25-26. A good study would be to compares maxed out Ice breaker vs a maxed out supremacy. These are by far the highest damage snipers (due to their impact). Truth vs gjallahorn vs Henzen vengeance .... Gjallahorn will be difficult due to the number of his it's wolf pack rounds do. I like to find the best legendary items in each slot. That way I know which slot to use my exotics. So if I need to use gjallahorn I can't us my ice breaker. So my best alternative is "supremacy". Which has a similar DPS, due to its high impact and rate of fire.

  • Yes definitely, DPS is another aspect that people would find really useful. This site is set up to collect that information and allow you to compare different guns: http://www.destinygundamage.info/#/list
