Red Death wrecks in pvp: detailed explination, and tips for pulse rifle users.

Anyone else use Red Death in pvp? I'm an advid pulse rifle user and have only been using pulse rifles since day one. And i have to say that Red Death is definetly the best pulse rifle for pvp. If you aim for the mid chest area the weapon automatically kicks up to the persons head. So if your landing just head shots you melt down most targets in seconds. I find myself outgunning most AR's/ Suros, handcannons. The impact for the weapon is what really makes it shine as well as the high caliber rounds perk. Which makes it an absolute shit house in pvp. But you might be saying to yourself how does it hold up in CQ well friends i have a trick to tell you. There is a certain trick to out gun most people in CQ by repeatly spamming the lift trigger to aim down the sight, so what this does is automatically snap to your target with little to no effort in actually moving the thumpsticks. Kind of like an auto aim mechanic. I use this method alot especially in games like BF4 where the only weapons i used were the M16A4 and the M4 which both are burst fire weapons if you didnt know. I hope this little trick has been useful to you. If any of you other pulse rifle fanatics have more tricks please feel free to share!

  • I saw a review on the red death before the launch of Destiny and I said to my self this is a gun I must have. Once I got it I saw what a beast this pulse rile could become. It took me a few days to have it fully upgraded and the only word that came to mind was "domination" with auto rifles you aim at your target press the trigger and off you go with bullets hitting your target but if some bullets miss you just re adjust a little and you hit your target again all with one clip. With pulse rifles it's a little different you aim at your target shoot a short burst of bullets your target moves and you re-adjust your shot and hit your target again with another short burst with all of your bullets hitting the target. By this time your target should be dead or close to being dead. With the red death your target is dead after 2 short burst are aimed at the chest and head. Red death is not the type of gun that you can just jump in the middle of the fight with because you will get killed. It makes you step back a little bit and take down your opponent fast and efficiently with accuracy and power. Red death is an amazing gun and anyone that is fortunate enough to own this weapon really has something special in the world of Destiny. I did the raid a few times with the red death and it worked beautifully. In my opinion Red Death comes only 2nd to the Vex Mthyoclast. When red death was created the team at destiny really took there time on this weapon and it diff shows. Thank you bungie for creating this beast of a pulse rifle.
