For me personally, i would like to see how it is like with out the "Always Active Unavoidable Radars."
How would you think this would effect game play, especially game play if the radar was taken out or adjusted?
Maybe taking out the radar would only work well in certain game types.. but,
I personally would like separate playlist just to see how it would play out and maybe keep it if it became popular enough.
Please leave your opinions below about why you chose the option you chose. It would be greatly appreciated. (:
EDIT:
Now that i think about it, again.. You guys are right about the increase of campers..
But thanks for taking the time to read my description and giving your input about this topic..

With 15,000 kills in the crucible here is what I have to report. Blink+Shotgun abuse is made possible with the radar. Remove the radar, these guys wouldn't know where to run. Fusion rifle abuse would be slightly more difficult. Fusions would still be easy to abuse but no radar would make it harder to predict a player and pre-fire around corners. Holding down one area of the map or "camping" (I guess), is the only way to counter the abused, overpowered weapons in this game. Radar would not effect players like this in any way... if anything it would empower them to move around the map more. Destiny PvP is currently a mess with plenty more unbalanced forms of easy 1 shot kills that I didn't touch on. I think a radar-less playlist would help add on a skill curve. I am all for it.

They should add a hardcore playlist with no radar or hud.
-
Hardcore mode with stronger shields and less ammo (obtained from defeated enemies and crates) . This would make camping not a problem for everyone has added toughness, and skill would be much more important. Not to mention it would make Destiny's hardcore mode unique compared to other games

Quake and Unreal didn't need no stinking radar...and, IMO, the games were better because of it.
-
No radar = campers like cod
-
was going to say that crouching should hide you on radar just like in Halo, but then I thought about all the shotguns and realized I'm glad I stopped playing crucible cuz it's terrible
-
The Radar system is pretty epic... It lets me assess a lot of situations and it helps me come out on top of a lot of situations, or at least survive a little while longer.. It's been a while but I remember really liking the radar on Halo 2... Maybe more so? I would play a game type without it, but just because it was something to play.

Radar shouldn't work as it does now, the only time you should show up on radar is if you are still for 2-3 seconds, and you should be active on radar for 5-6 seconds after.
-
If you don't want the always active radar just ADS the whole match.
-
Radar should probably make sweeps instead of always being active.
-
Add SWAT mode from halo!
-
Just add a hardcore mode problem solved.
-
Shotgun campers are plentiful in the crucible without the added benefit of no radar.
-
Don't cater to campers
-
I didn't like it in the beta but then I realized it was basically a warning for campers so no it's just fine
-
Maybe just get rid of the upgrade that gives guns radar even when you're aiming down the sights. Not a major adjustment, but a small fix.
-
Maybe make a game type that does this. Like SWAT only headshots kill and supers still do the same.
-
It's the worst radar system in the history of gaming. Get rid of it!
-
My reason for keeping it in is it keeps ppl hunting and on their toes makes them alert visually and alert for sound without it skill would take a turn for the worse and the pacing would slow down add to that the increase in campers
-
Destiny's radar is a good mix creating relative enemy location. It's pretty spot on so I don't think it needs any work. But the only work point I could see considered is possibly the radar's range.
-
There should be No Radar playlists, and No Super playlists.
-
destiny's pvp is junk anyways, why even play it? soooo noobish...1 hit kills/supers behind every corner. Lame and codish...get original.
-
I actually like it as it discourages camping. There's already enough people running around and hiding with shotguns. It would be even worse if you had no way of knowing if someone is sitting round the corner waiting to one-shot you. At least this way you can have some idea, and be prepared to flush them out.

Edited by Dove : 11/7/2014 11:14:43 PMi feel like additional playlist with out radars would be good.. remind me allot of swat from halo. but then again- what about your supers- that would have to be taken out. But i'd like to see if Bungie could incorporate a playlist without radar.

Imma have to go with add another type with no radar. Kinda like the hardcore BF and where the killer isnt displayed.
-
The other playlist is a good idea, and private matches too.
