As someone who has put hundreds of hours (just over 300 last time a checked) into Destiny and a fairly considerable amount of time into Warframe. I honestly can't tell you either is inherently better then the other. What I can say is that Destiny seems maybe a bit more polished, streamlined. I don't want to say dumbed down because it isn't. But in general Destiny has less content then warframe while making sure that what content it does have is easy to understand and enjoyable. On the other hand if you want to play something with more elements of stat maximizing or more customization. I also would address the people who claim Warframe is P2W. I have acquired numerous warframes ( Basically classes only there are over 30 compared to destiny's 3) And I've have yet to pay a cent. I've spent some platinum but it has all been either free or earned through in game trading. So while someone can skip some grind. It would cost them $20 bucks to unlock one warframe. One. This is actually very clever on the games part. It means you can get a warframe when a new one comes out if it really appeals to you. But I don't know too many people who will spend hundreds of dollars to buy every warframe and probably thousands to get all the weapons and gear. But to the people critisizing destiny for lackluster expansions. It is very easy to complain about what's wrong with Destiny people do it all the time. But whenever a new expansion comes out people tend to praise it and obsess over it. That is until they get all the new shiny exotics. Then they sit on the forums and complain about hunters or titans being OP etc. That is why I have personally made the switch to warframe. Once I got to a certain point of having all the exotics (and maybe a few perfectly rolled iron banner weapons) Destiny just can't keep my interest in the months between expansions. while the competition has a lot. (and I mean a lot) of hours of playtime hidden behind just collecting those suits. let alone weapons, gear, pets, companions, and prime versions of literally everything I just mentioned. But the two different games are just that. Different games. It isn't fair to the developers of both to compare them incessantly when they are very different games. I don't want paid dlc in warframe and I don't want micro-transactions in destiny. Let them be them and the players play whichever one suits them on that day.

The sad fact is that Warframe is a better Destiny then Destiny.

I used to love playing Destiny, and had a break for a few weeks while waiting for the Taken King to come out. Thats a dangerous thing for a game like Destiny - giving players who are dedicated daily grinders those big long breaks (in which they give the weapons different stats and new names and then ask you for more money!) Anyway - they lost me pretty quick. I even bought the Taken King and played it - for a few hours. Warfare is ok. But I’d recommend that if you still like Destiny and what Bungie have done with it — stay there. Stay on the ground in first person view doing the same old missions over and over and over everyday. In a few months they will raise the cap and you can re-level it all over again. I’;m sure they are warming up to a big content release soon. I guess it can be fun competing with each other for exactly the same gear.

I haven't put enough hours into Warframe since I downloaded it a week or so ago to day that it's better than Destiny. However, I haven't thought about Destiny once since I started. I love the feeling of knowing your working towards getting a weapon/frame. I don't mind the microtransactions element to he honest. I've spent about £160 on Destiny so far and have yet to spend a penny on Warframe. I imagine I'll be forking out for some plat sometime soon, but it will just have been money I would have spent on the base game/DLC. It's also refreshing how many updates/events there have been to the game. My Tenno is currently sporting a moustache for Movember and last week had a pumpkin on his head for Halloween. Warframe is awesome.
