CC: Bungie
You are, as of today, one week away from seeing many of your Crucible players find the airlock when CoD drops. Right now I cannot blame anyone who shelves or sells this game because of the failure to deliver on the advertised promises let alone the inability of Bungie/Deej to provide meaningful responses to valid criticisms and suggestions for improvement of our game. I am personally sticking with you just a little while longer but while I was initially an ardent supporter of Bungie, Destiny, & your DLC pay model I am now on the fence. What comes with The Dark Below will be my progress check with you. If you have not heard us by then and provided us with clear path and timeline for when some of these needed improvements will come, I will sadly move on. I know I am not alone. Please start respecting the voice of your players. We understand you had a vision but sometimes you have to put the hubris aside and realize that the vision has to change. Many of us are tired of posting to a wall that no one with the power to make changes seems to be reading. Respectfully //Ozman51
Bungie, Ozman voices widely shared sentiments, but there's a puzzle piece behind the table leg, and it's big enough to qualify as an unmentionable elephant in this room: >>> Bungie: Careers <<< Every one of the things we're calling for has a vacant job on the other end of it. We're up to 46 (EDIT: 48) open positions now, which means five were added this week alone. You don't even have anybody in place whose dedicated job is to take our feedback and bring it to the design team. Deej is basically just the hype man for this circus, and he did a brilliant job pre-launch teasing us and keeping secrets. But you can't expect Flava Flav to reform Public Enemy with an all new lineup and have it be anything other than a gimmick. Secrets are the opposite of what your customers need now. No offense Deejie-Baby, but you're not a Player Advocacy Lead, and people need to accept that. You need to tell them. You need to tell them that there's not enough space-monkeys on the other end of this party line to do what they want done right now. It's no secret that you're scrambling for help, but you're ACTING like it is....hoping that it is...behaving like we're too myopic to click a link on your website and see that you are in way over your heads. Like we'll all vanish overnight if Bungie finally admits that they didn't really know what they were getting into and don't have the people on hand to deliver the goods yet. Let the light in folks. Own up to the reality of your careers page. The flood of hate will slow down if you just speak up about what your actual staffing problems and priorities are. Your core fans, your free advocates, your evangelists, the people who sell this game for you and spend hours every day giving you their creative product without recognition or compensation, the people who can't tick all the boxes in your job postings but still lead you to make a better game...those people will appreciate the honesty, and once you've got enough employees to run a game studio again, they'll be back to Sunsinging your praises. You need them on your side far more than you need to hang on to the tattered illusions of AAA stardom that you're toting around with you. They help shape the conversation here, and you can't afford to lose them, because you're not shaping positively it at all. This game will improve drastically, and quickly, once the right people are in the right offices. Right now Destiny isn't even close to being triple A, unless you ask the accountants. But it can be...if you collectively sacrifice a little of your rapidly-spoiling Bungie mystique and use it to buy a yourselves some breathing room, by showing your fanbase some intellectual honesty and a little respect. You can't afford to play pretend any more. Stop whistling past the graveyard. Address staffing in the next Weekly Update; show your customers that you're hiring the people who can build the game they are asking for.

 • It's really disturbing. I want the best for this game but it reminds me Defiance. Same (no) communication, only fix and updates about nerf/buff... A dev' team too small to do anything else... Why console "MMO" games suffers from the same problem ?
