I think it should work that way for ALL supers. For example, if a "hunter" uses "arc blade" on a "titan" that's attempting to use "fist of havoc", it would cause a "blowback" explosion which would seriously injure (not necessarily kill) both guardians and launch them away from each other, or if a "titan" uses "ward of dawn" just as a "warlock" throws a "nova bomb" at them, the "titan's" shield would keep the "titan" alive but still break (harming the "titan" in the process) and the "nova bomb" would backfire on the "warlock". How's that sound?
