Let's slow down a sec. They said it was a ten year project, with new content being delivered frequently. There's no reason to think everything the developed was intended to be available in the first instalment. Secondly, things get cut from games all the time, it's a natural part of development. Sometimes it's impossible to sustain good performance with certain features. Sometimes they are not ready in time for the release date. Remember Nintendo had to cut two whole dungeons from Wind Waker to release it before Christmas? Well at least in this case Bungie still has a chance to finish that content and deliver it. In short, most of the conspiracy theories about this game can be dismissed by two simple considerations: it's not unusual for things to get cut from games, and it's not impossible that some content was intended for later release.

  • No. Just no to your whole post. Okay, not completly. Yes, it is true that developper cut some parts of the game out before it's release. I didn't write this because we all know that... no need to point this out. But we all, including you, have to admit that Destiny is a special case. It promised so much more than it actually delievered. And Bungie was also lying. They said they never implemented the trading system, not they tested it and it's not suitable. This alone is strange. Beside the completly missing story and the Grimmoire Cards don't make sense. A developper always needs to defend his product but I think Bungie itself knows that the Grimmore Cards are a very poor attempt to "include" story and the posts from the writer make this look really really strange. I could agree with you if it were only one post which indicates that something went wrong but there are just so much stuff , which I pointed out, saying that there should be more. And some are really close to the release date. Yes, some major changes can be made but not so close before release. No one would risk that. It's a possible game killer and if the mechanics of Destiny wouldn't be so good Destiny would be dead. Neither Bungie nor Activision would risk this easily just to sell one more DLC... okay Activision maybe but not Bungie.
