PS4 user here..looking forward to the DLC..Btw this game is dope. I think the majority of the complainers are people who play this game too much and need to mix it up. This so called "GRINDING" for the fear of "FALLING BEHIND" is absurd. Falling behind what? This isn't a freaking race. People will do the exact same thing when Advanced Warfare comes out. Put in 12-15 hours a day easy (like anybody gives a crap about your rank) and then get burnt out because it's the same pay and spray BS our spoiled a$$es are accustom to. THESE ARE VIDEO GAMES PEOPLE, NOT LIFE!! Quit complaining about your lousy $60. Big eff'n deal. I drop 60 bucks on a weekend dinner with the wife and have to listen to her gripe about the moron that just ruined my evening by overcooking her steak! LoL. Kudos to Bungie. This is a great app and a helpful tool that's been plagued by people who simply can't be satisfied by anything. I'm done

  • Says the lucky bastard with too much money in his pocket, and had fun getting all of his gear looting the farm cave shortly after release. I was late, and yeah when they kinda took that away. They kinda made it more difficult for those of us that do mix it up, and play through games with out exploiting them...! To achieve the high enough levels to enjoy the things that have become boring for all the gamers that have played through already. Just saying I partialy agree with you, but god damn it why'd they have to take away those engrams, I couldn't get them during the loot cave era. And now I bloody cant get them even if loot caving was what I wanted to do. FYI I tried it after the patch went through and realised nothing was going to go my way unless I fell into some dumb luck..

  • Run tiger strike play list for one weekend and ta da you are geared enough to raid. Takes no time to gear up in this game. Marks come easy. Just need to stick yo it and not rely on random drops. By the way since the patch random drops on strike play list are way up, and improved. I never got a legendary engram pre engram/cave patch but now have gotten 7. So on top of vangaurd marks random drops should be more plentiful. So yeah. Gearing up... not hard at all.

  • says the guy that knows shit, lol. What is tiger strike? ive been doing those random strike thingies beside the crucible on the map. and i always go to my lvl. exept now ive got my exotic bounty, so i need to bang out five without dying. I do all the bounties I can too between crucible and some vanguard.

  • Lol. I dont know shit huh? Lvl 24 strike play list is called vanguard tiger numb nuts. And they give 6 marks per completion. And strike playlists have higher drop rate for legendary engrams. Just saying with that approach you can gear up fast. And fine go do easy mode strikes for the bounty. That should hold you up for about an hr... not a limiting factor.

  • Maybe compared to other ps games it's dope, but compared to most xbox games it's a JOKE!

  • Nope, it's not "dope" compared to even most Playstation games. It most certainly COULD have been, but as it stands it won't be for quite some time. Games like Skyrim had tons more content from the start, and better stories, and expansions that were actually expansive. I gave this game my full support early on because I thought that when they said they were going to be "regularly updating" it, that that would mean additional story missions between expansions not "fixes" that address relatively unimportant things. That's why I was okay with the incredibly brief story, I knew it was going to progress further, but I thought that it was going to progress faster than this. It took me longer to play through Infamous: Second Son than it did to get through Destiny and Second Son was shorter than most game, yet more fulfilling than Destiny has been. If I wanted to grind for loot, I would do it on Diablo, where it actually matters, not here where the only loot that matters comes from the Raid or is exotic. I already have 11/20 of the exotic weapons available, so I'm pretty much set there, and the Raid is so plagued by glitches and worthless loot drops that most times it turns out to be a waste of time each week. I'm not saying that I should be given the raid gear after one or two playthroughs, but I shouldn't go through multiple raids where ALL I get is ascendant mats. To be honest there isn't enough loot, or variety, in this game to keep me much longer, in fact, I'll be playing Dragon Age: Inquisition soon and I'll only come back for the DLC that I got with my Guardian Edition. After I sample the DLC, I may be off for good. Well, that got the rant out of my system for a little while at least.

  • I stand corrected, Destiny apparently wasn't a good game on ps compared to other games. There really seem to be systematic problems in this game that aren't being addressed.

  • It's not about "grinding" or whatever other dumbass lingo people want to strap on, it's the fact that there's no real replay value. It's the same dumbass shit over and over. This would be fine if the Pvp was ok but they completely ignore that shit like no one notices. Most people are realizing, if they don't care about fixing the clear flaws in the game, why play it

  • I'm sorry? They've mainly nerfed weapons because of whining PvP players. They listened to the PvP side over the PvE.

  • Not really, they "fixed" PvP the same way they "fixed" the raid, making small changes without fixing the actual problems. The fact that it spilled over into PvE is another issue altogether. Don't think Crucible became wonderful because they tweaked some autorifle numbers or nerfed the mythoclast into dust. The main issues are the server problems and the limited maps which cause the same one to repeat 4-5 times in a row, not to mention matchmaking issues which apparently work off first come first serve rather than anything meaningful, the lack of actual gameplay options which can be set, the lack of game modes, which amount to team death match or control, with various numbers of people, and the rumble mode.

  • Xbone user here..looking forward to the DLC..I endorse Vinnies message, we as gamers are completely spoiled, as he put it. Honestly people video games are meant to be an escape from every day life, not a replacement.

  •
video games are meant to be an escape from every day life, not a replacement.
Exactly where is this escape with Destiny? When it does nothing but remind most people of lifes horrible repitions. This is how it ends up replacing, by turning into too much of a grind. More hours means you'll have better shit. well -blam!- sleep I gotta get a rare engram drop so i can even challenge the weekly. awe what another one is needed! -blam!- there goes the next few weeks of sleep. Then we show up to work the next day -blam!-ed up on energy drinks, and zombified.. Alas, the ones among us that are responsible enough not to do shit like this... Are still boned from getting to where we want with in Destiny.

  • And if I come to the realization that the escape from everyday life is worse than everyday life in terms of working yourself into a rut, then the game has failed in its purpose.

  • Glad to know I'm not alone in my "insanity." That does seem to be the consensus of the pro-Destiny posters with respect to the people who have found serious flaws with the game they love so much.

  • If you notice, most of the pro-Destiny guys seem to be new or infrequent players. I work construction, and when I get home (if I'm not too tired) I do a whole lot more than play Destiny. I read, I paint, I sketch, I sculpt, games are an added diversion that should be entertaining, not tedious. Even with all of that, I have still managed to essentially crush Destiny, and find it more annoying each time I get on to do the same thing I did before with minimal returns.

  • Yea Cuz anyone with a legitimate complaint just can't be satisfied. Your comment has been posted thousands of times on this forum and it's always just as stupid. This game was dissapointing. Period. It does not live up to what we were shown and told we were going to get before release. If you like it, great. But it's already been shown that millions of destiny players want the game to be better. So we will come here and give feedback to bungie so that it will get better. Those are helpful and necessary comments when done the right way. Yours was useless. Basically, you told every one who doesn't like the game (and therefore anyone who disagrees with you) to shut up.

(Apparently I struck a nerve) I'm not gonna play battle for the last word but, there's a difference between USEFUL feedback spoken like you have some freakin sense verses the more common... "BLAM! YOU BUNGIE YOU BLAM!-ING SUCK! YOU BLAM!-ING BLAMS! DON'T BUY THE DLC!! (and my personal favorite) WHERE IS THE GAME WE WERE PROMISED!?! Like I said before, this game has been out a mere 51/52 days on a console that's only a year old, (stop and really think about that for a second) give it time. Bungie basically started from scratch and they're getting crap from people who like to bitch just because that's what get's the majority of replies and/or attention.

  • They took how long to get this turd stain of a game developed? They took less time making ODST and it was much better than this.
