I'm genuinely amazed that it took an entire studio of well-trained and highly paid developers ~4 years and half a billion dollars to make a game with such a pathetic amount of content. What the hell were they doing every day? Did they spend 90% of their work day jerking each other off over how awesome they are?

Most of that budget probably went to critics to come up with bullsh*t quotes saying how awesome the game is. You couldn't pay me enough money to lie about how awesome Destiny is.

If the reddit post of the Alpha Testers is true, then this would have an explanation. They were doing a great game, but then something happened, and unfortunately it happened very late and very close to the release.

I'm more shocked that the story was conveyed so bad given the pedigree of Bungie an activsion.

Bran new game engine - lots of big fixes and testing, rebuilding and doing all of that over again. They spent the last few years building an engine from the ground up - truthfully they didn't spend a lot of time making this game. They should have just waited till Christmas, giving them more time to make a better polished game. It's all good though - it get better everyday.

If they did, i want a video!

The five hundred million dollar budget was a rumor. Search the web to find the articles if you want.

Did you not see the picture of the devs with hover hands? Hands must be kept unsoiled for circle-jerking. This means no touching keyboards. The game reached a certain point and they started circle-jerking. Blame that.

Me too. Skyrim only cost $95 million according to this: http://vgsales.wikia.com/wiki/Most_expensive_video_games

Yes well it's not like anybody put 100 hours into game or something. Isn't it interesting how many people don't need matchmaking? *head explodes*

LMAO. Hover hands.....rofl.
