Thank god I'm from an age of people who appreciate games. How much effort people go to in creating maps, every inch of skyrim was impressive and actually, there were a tonne of Easter eggs and hidden missions I found whilst discovering the ins and outs of the map. You have done nothing but prove my point, you guys 'achieve' the same amount as me, but I enjoy it more. I think that's become quite plain

  • I doubt anything will ever match Skyrim's magnificence.

  • Personally I think oblivion and skyrim didn't live up to morrowind. Morrowind had such a diverse setting and hours of easter eggs.

  • Damn right, some appreciation right there.

  • If what you're saying is actually true, then you've never thought anything could be better than what it currently is? From that perspective, all games would have an equal rating because they are all "appreciated" and no flaw is seen within them. If people didn't always look to improve things then we'd be in the Stone Age still.

  • And I don't know why your knickers are in a twist, I'm agreeing with your idea. So relax!

  • Well, I missed the part where you agreed and I saw the part where you said no one except yourself truly enjoys games. I didn't mean to start a kerfuffle, I just responded to what I read. :)

  • Hehe I think I know what's going down. I replied to a post I made earlier on but put it as an entirely new post. It wasn't directed at everyone, but -blam!- it, I like a bit of drama ;)

  • If your argument didn't look like a 10 year old on meth, we might have seen that you were in agreement. English is a thing to have practiced.

  • Durins beard, how have you boiled my entire post down to that conclusion? I enjoyed skyrim, 100% start to finish. I didn't say I 100% appreciate all games but I do appreciate the effort that goes into making them as a family member used to do it for a living.

  • Destiny is a product not a gift. Those who made it, made it to be sold to and played by gamers. You appreciate a gift that is given to you. You purchase a product. If its a good product, you give it recommendations, reviews, and praise. You can even appreciate what a well done product it is. But appreciating a product just because someone made it, is giving false positives to the maker. If someone gives you the nastiest, most vomit inspiring slice of pizza, homemade or not, you should politely accept it with appreciation. Then when they are not looking, stuff it in the couch cushions. But if you BUY a slice of pizza with even just one dark short little pubic hair on it, would you not try to get a new piece or some form of compensation? Or would you go ahead and eat that pubic hair pizza, all while smiling and saying how good it tastes? Sorry if this sounds offensive, I just want to put things in perspective. Two things have been cropping up lately that are counter intuitive: 1. That Destiny is something that should be automatically appreciated because it was made for us by Bungie. 2. That time spent ingame negates any complaint or negative opinion of the game. I think the game can be fun to play. With friends or even solo patrols, you can find entertaining things to do. That in no way help you progress in the game. And even beyond all that, when you are playing to progress the game, you end up grinding strikes, resource farming, and doing bounties on the PvE side that eat up tons of hours. Can it be fun? Sure, but that is iffy. So then you end up at something like 200 hrs played right? Thats worth it right? Despite the content of those 200 hours, then compare that time to other games like Skyrim, or most of the Halo games, or hell even something like Dynasty Warriors. Thats not even touching the computer side. Add to that what the last, what? Half? of those 200 hrs are and some players are left wondering if someone stole their real game and substituted this really, really pretty shell. I have fun playing the game at times. Mostly as long as I not trying to grind out some resource or bounty or whatever other counter productive activity that is designed to enhance my fun. I enjoy exploring, running around "patrolling." But that is probably also why I am only lvl 27 with only 1 character and no exotic weapons. Not that I'm going anywhere, cause honestly the patrolling activity with friends is more fun than any other game out there for me right now. But that will change in November. TL;DR: Meg called, she said she can't hear you over the sound of all the dead aliens.

  • Destiny is a product sold for £50. It's very cheap for what it is, so I appreciate what we get for the price we pay. I just can't understand why people complain about the game and then stick It right back in their console again? I'm not replying to that entire thing pal because it's much too lengthy ;) I think it's a great game. There are many improvements to make but appreciate it for the price it came at. That's the difference. If you want a game that is 100 percent flawless, learn how to program or pay more. For £50 I'm very happy

  • What exactly are you trying to argue here? This jumble of words was extremely difficult to read, let alone understand. Are you praising Skyrim? If so, isn't that what the OP was originally trying to portray across as an open world exploration? If you agree with that point, then how has he "proven your point"? Is English your secondary language? If so that would make sense as to why your comment has no girth to it.

  • I think it's pretty clear that you are very mentally limited. And don't use that as an argument anyway, on a slight tangent, but still related, have you never read 'johnny got his gun' by dalton trumbo. His punctuation/grammar may not have been spot on but his point was fairly clear. You -blam!-ing idiot.

When your intellect is questioned when the sentence structure presented in your argument comes into play, you result to insults due to the fact that your mental capacity is minimal at best. Nice.

  • Bringing grammar and 'mental capacity' into an debate is ridiculous anyway, if there was something that you didn't understand, then simply ask me a more precise question.

  • 'Mental capacity'? Now that's insulting my ability to retain new information, which I do have a problem with. But I'm not Mentally deficient, so Get off your high horse mate. Before someone pulls you down.
