So you don't like farming and grinding.... sounds like this isn't the type of game for you. I personally can't wait to get home every day and run bounties and dailies and whatever else is needed to keep upgrading my weapons. Get some more friends maybe? Get some better guns? You say no variety of guns... lol, I have a legendary or exotic of every type with every different elemental damage. I AM LEGEND. I feel like an OP Guardian and I only have a small percentage of my good weapons leveled up to 300. The only people that should say they are done with all of the content this game has to offer are the very few (if any) people that have three level 30 characters, with all of their weapons maxed out at 300. Then, I suppose, you truly don't have much left to do in the game as far as grinding, but you can still beat the hell out of strikes and raids with your friends, that is, if you actually enjoy how fun this game is. SMH at all the people in agreement with this irrational post. I have gotten more time out of this game in just over a month than I have with some games in six months. And I will continue to do so, seeing as I need some more gear to get my two level 29s to level 30, and then I get to start building up my Hunter. Ahh yes, good times. Sounds like OP and many in agreement don't understand the concept of this game. But hey, if it's not fun for you, there's other cool games out or coming out, so no big deal. And I don't know who personally "promised" you anything; all I know is I saw a trailer for a cool looking game, I bought said game, and said game has exceeded any and all expectations I ever had. But hey... haters gonna hate... it's the "cool" thing to do these days to bitch on the forums apparently. Have fun bitching while the rest of keep enjoying the awesome game that is Destiny. Edit add-in: Every game becomes repetitive. They all do. It's a question of whether you enjoy the fun factor and the game mechanics enough to truly enjoy the repetition, or be bored with it. It's fine either way, everybody has different preferences and opinions. Personally, I am so far from being bored of this game, I will be enjoying the repetition for a long time.

  • There are quite a bit of faults with how Bungie developed/designed this game but it is still enjoyable with a lot frustration here and there. I would like to get more friends, you on XB1? I have 3 lvl 28 characters all capable of nf, dailies, weeklies, raid. Be my friend pwease! I can do all the roles in raid!!! I'm also decent at PVP. Let's be friends. Let's all be friends. I am in need of friend...I'm lonely. I am everything anyone would ever want in a random player. I'm nice, down to earth and enjoy long walks on the moon! On XB1 GT: L0nleyBoi 15 the 2nd l is a capital i...i think.

  • you obviously dont get it then and you never will. for two "!!!!YEARS!!!" the game was hyped up to be the most groundbreaking accomplishment in gaming history. and what we got was HALF a game with LOADS of shit cut, locked, or just flat ass dropped. we now have to pay for things that are already IN THE GAME. the huge disappointment this game is probably suits u because you have such low standards for games that you dont care. and being done with content doesnt fall to being maxed out with everything. its the fact that with everything that is currently there, it is not enough to keep people interested. there are things i still enjoy but its fading away very quickly. the only thing i consider even challenging is the raid on hard mode.

  • So.... you believe every marketing hype that you hear and see? Sounds like that's your problem. Every company makes commercials and ads to make their food look tastier, their electronics perform better, their games look bigger and cooler, their cars look more luxurious, etc. So advertisement is advertisement, and yes, in most cases things are overhyped. But I wouldn't say anybody was lied to. This game is different than any games I've ever played. I guess people say the fps combined with leveling up gear and weapons is similar to Borderlands, but all my friends who bought the Bordelands Pre Sequel played it for a day and came back to Destiny. I suppose that is saying something too. I definitely don't have low standards for games, but I don't buy into overhyped marketing either. And yeah, the only really challenging parts are the hard raid and some of the nightfalls, but regardless of challenge, I'm always having a good time, whether cutting down enemies in strikes or raids with friends, or running some patrols and farming by myself. Whatever I'm in the mood for, I can do in this game. Maybe people should focus on what they enjoy in this game and stick to that. If you don't enjoy it, then you have the right to move onto a new game. Not a big deal. Hell, I remember spending $60 on Dishonored because it looked pretty cool, but I did not enjoy it, so after about an hour and a half I never played it again. I think it's at a buddy's house right now. Oh well.. I sure as hell didn't go on a forum to tell others that they should dislike it too. I simply found a different game that I enjoyed.

  • really? I keep going back to borderlands myself, can't get enough of that game I keep playing destiny but the moment I've earned all the marks, done some bounties, done the weekly stuff and checked what Xur has in stock I really just can't be motivated to play until the marks and stuff reset, then I rinse and repeat.

The OP didn't tell anyone to dislike it. He just expressed his disappointments. And if you watch an officially released gameplay video, and then you get the game and half of what what was in the gameplay video didn't make it into the game, you don't feel as if you were mislead? I 'get' why you like the game.. well, sort of. There are things I like very much about the game as well. The truth is tho, that the game basically ends after 20, with the exception of VoG. Patrol missions, strikes, bounties. EVERYTHING you're playing, you've played before. The only difference is you now have access to some cooler weapons (armor is stronger, but that's about it). I loved VoG, mostly due to the fact it required some thought, and not just how long you can pump bullets/rockets into the boss. Even that has gotten stale however. I would love to do hard mode, but all my friends I usually raid with are now playing CoD and Sunset Overdrive (which, incidentally I've heard all kinds of good things about), and some are even back to playing WoW, getting ready for the release of their new expansion. The rest of this week a bunch of us will be spending our gaming time checking out the Evolve alpaha. If you're satisfied with what they delivered, great. I'm not going to you you're an idiot for that, or that you're probably satisfied cause you live in you mother's basement and have nothing else to do, and so on and so on. I'll respect that you like the game, and won't fault you for it whether I agree with your sentiments or not. Can't you do the same and respect the feelings of those who feel differently than you?

  • For sure man. And no worries, I've got my own home, had it for many years. I do respect the fact that this game isn't for some people, but I don't respect those that make a new bitchfest post on the forum every day. If you don't have interest in a game, move along, simple as that. The last place you should be is on a forum for a game that you have so many issues with, right? Why stress yourself? Move on and find a game that fits you better. I say you, meaning all of "them", not you personally of course. And for me, the game got much more interesting after level 20. Also, as stated in another post, every single game I have ever played gets repetitive. Some after a day, some a week, and rarely some after a month. But they all do. It's just an issue of whether you have fun doing the repetitive stuff or not. I am still having a blast in Destiny, even though I've done everything there is to do in the game currently. I'll gladly continue doing it too. But that's me. And of course, the silent majority of people loving this game with no interest of even coming on the forum. Only reason I come on the forum is for killing time at work. If I'm at home, it's either time with my lady, or time with Destiny. I love 'em both, lol. Thanks for the polite, civil reply. It's always a breath of fresh air on this forum.

I get it. I have my bitches about Destiny, but the thing is, it's not ALL bad, which makes it that much more frustrating. I guess in the end, there's enough I enjoy about Destiny that makes me want to vocalize what's fkd up about it in hopes that, while it may turn out to be commercially successful, they made too many compromises and took too many shortcuts which kept if from being a GREAT game... and perhaps if they listen to some of the things the detractors are pointing out, there is still a chance that Destiny could still get there. The concept is certainly there... the execution was... a bit too much hit or miss. I would also point out that, when you say "move along", it seems you don't realize that many have. One person that works at Gamestop mentioned they had over 200 copies of Destiny traded in - just last week. And that's ONE store. Perhaps some, or even many of those that remain to bitch about what they think is wrong with Destiny is because they like it enough care. They WANT Destiny to get better because they realize that there are some good things about it, but it's been overshadowed by what was bungled. I am in that camp a little bit.... and thinking it's time to step away for a bit. I'm disappointed that the DLC sounds a bit underwhelming, but I am going to hold off on making a final judgement until it actually comes out. Perhaps by then I will have a fresher perspective. Anyways, appreciate the good conversation.

  • That all being said, the one issue I have is the connection errors, being kicked back to orbit and such with code "bee" or other bugs... no pun intended. But coming from BF4 and the shitty Dice/EA servers, I really can't complain. And I'm on PS3, so I suppose it's a bit worse on last gen systems. But I've never had a flawless online connection with any big fps/mmo/(whatever I should call it before neckbeards start correcting me), so I am definitely hoping for continued fixes as far as connection errors go, but I can also forgive a little bit since everything else in the game is delivered in such an awesome experience.

  • I am on PS4 and I don't think the generation of console has much to do with Destiny server errors. Their last fix this week made things much worse for me.
