that sounds nice to walk around taking out enemy one-by-one, but here I am riding my sparrow, trying to land those sick tricks I can pull off with it. lol I've already been grinding in the Cosmodrome, flipping around on the moon, doing these stupid jumps up or straight through the enemy... I don't know I'm that kinda guy with an odd entrance, even if it means me dropping in upside-down from the sky. xP

the game itself is gorgeous and i feel you completely.. i havent actually taken the time to "walk" around but from time to time when im listening to music or texting alot i just wait on venus by the VoG for a the public event and i stay by the end of the map where the water or whtever the hell that shit is and just mke my character sit and sometimes i wnna take a pic and post it on some sort of social media because it looks so awesome. hands down one of the "best looking: games ive played in a while.. now if only the story was on par with it...
-
Good post until the edit about the tv. You sit far to close for the optimum view and your surround sound must be total shit if you can bare it on max. Stupid.

I loved reading this because when I stop doing the grind and start looking at the scenery I always love what I'm looking at. My favorite planet is Mars because of the Arizona like environment and beautiful sunset/sunrises. Destiny 2 needs animals running around & hunting like Farcry 3 for materials!

The lack of Story and this endless Respawning mixed with a strange Emptiness - i mean even in Fable II i sometimes went to places in which up to 20 other Orbs made me feel like more connected somehow to others especially when you could communicate with near by chat!!! I said it before : Destiny is beautiful and a solid shooter but i'd wished for something more, something with soul

Edited by linhue: 11/1/2014 2:25:44 AMthis morning i cranked the headphones to 10, clicked https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJ5e8nbwSww and took a long walk on the moon, blew the heads off a large assortment of various moon critters, collected some helium and would have loved to take a dump in one of the caves but the armor has no zipper. JUST LIKE EVERYDAY shout out to the slow players

I get that mentality, every once in a while I boot up Skyrim and make a pilgrimage to High Hrothgar, before picking out a random mountain peak to venture off to.

Way too long to read dude, your opinion is NOT worth the time.

I never go outside because just to open the door I'll have to fight three waves.

Great post. Destiny is a really beautiful game.
-
Agreed. Game is crazy beautiful. You should look deep into the distance. No clue what you see.My favorite touches are the reef background and the broken space station. Smart design.

Edited by luckyguess: 10/30/2014 2:08:37 PMYou know what I do when I want to enjoy the beauty of nature? Put down the controller, turn off my console, and go outside. *points out the window* You see all that out there? It's playable terrain.
-
You can do this with literally hundreds of other games.

Dude I walk outside and wished it looked as good as Destiny #Seattle

Edited by ThomasChr: 10/31/2014 2:18:56 AMI wish I could say that you're doing something right, because I appreciated reading about your experience in this game. However, what almost everyone on this forum don't seem to understand, is that being content with this game doesn't lead to anything positive in terms of how games are being produced these days. Regardless, of how little issues one might have with Destiny, it doesn't change the fact that accepting how the game is right now, is the same as accepting mediocre. You're basically allowing game developers to focus on graphics, and provide as little content as possible, within reasonable boundaries. Please understand that I'm not trying to hate, for the sake of hating. I just think it's outright tragic that people don't at least see the consequences of being naïvely content with far less than they should demand from modern games; and high-budget, "triple A"- games in particular. Of course, I'm not saying that you shouldn't enjoy the game. Just don't be modest/conservative when it comes to giving it constructive feedback. Contrary to popular belief, praising something that was released in such a half-hearted state will never lead to the game being improved upon.

Yea, I started doing the walk about thing also.......good fun.

Somebody is bragging but if that is your real setup you got ripped off something bad

God I wish I could be this blind to problems. Are you Obama per chance?
-
I like sitting in bushes watching people, breathing heavily. I do it in destiny sometimes too

Edited by AytonHunter: 10/31/2014 12:07:27 AMThis is wonderful, I'm glad there are other players out there who actually use their imagination and don't just want to be spoon fed everything. I'm sick of these idiots always complaining there's "no story" and "repetitive gameplay". It's not about that, a game is what you make of it. ANYWAYS Personally, I'm a big fan of good ol' Earth. I'm usually in Old Russia, like to hang around the Skywatch. I don't know why, but it just seems like a nice spot to sit down and relax. Granted, you have the Hive and Fallen beating the shit out of each other just behind you, but the sky is so majestic looking, I blank them, haha. I'm a nerd, but I do love the atmosphere this game has, and it seems some people are too primitive to just settle down and look around for once.
-
I too love the game. In my opinion, the only thing the game really needs is a better story with a better way of telling it, which we may get in the next DLC. The grimoire is very detailed, but in no way is it chronologically explained along with the story.

During some crusible matches espicially when almost the entire enemy team quits i take a look at the background. My favorite its the field of glass just wish there a patrol there. Also in the beta thats all i did on earth.
