Seriously surprised at how many Economics experts play Destiny and come on these forums.
Like we totally didn't even know they were here until Bungie released their DLC pricing, then all of a sudden the majority of the forum reveals they are all experts in Economics, and the global financial market.
I might just post all my taxes on these forums too, you guys sound like you know your stuff so y'all can do that right?
And i mean, this is in addition to the large amount of people who are game developers on these forums.

Edited by IshihadoX: 10/31/2014 4:12:26 AMSo, the only way anyone should comment on anything is if they are an expert at it? Okay... are you an expert at cultural observation? No? They why the f**k are you commenting? I mean, you're not an expert. I have a degree in cultural anthropology, and I don't even consider myself and expert, so...
-
Post your social security number too please. That way i can do those taxes.
-
would this be a bad time to mention that I am actually studying for a degree in economics...
-
lol if you think its hard to do taxes, then most of the people here probably are economic experts compared to you.

Edited by Maxwell: 10/31/2014 12:40:44 PMJust saying. It doesn't take an expert to clearly understand that 500 million cash, not even half of that was used in development for this game. It's simple to figure out by doing comparisons then check each budget or Claimed budget for development. I'm not saying it's quick but it can be time consuming. I'm not sure why people would defend Destiny's complete 180 degree change especially when Bungie nor Activision shows any plans to mend their despicable methods. I'll defend the Destiny that I saw at E3 and in the developers Vid-Docs not this lump of incompetence.

You know what else there's a lot of on the Forums. Scifi Gun experts.

Ahahahahahaha A major investment of 60$ is not an easy decision to make. And not one to take lightly good Sir. Those are SIXTY Dollars!! Can you imagine that much money, i bet you can.

I'm sorry but this needs a proper burial. First of all this games story was bland, bleak, empty, boring, easy as fuk, and had no sense of direction. They depleted their entire budget on advertising and pathetic character voices that were removed when they scrapped the original GOOD story line. Anyone who disagrees with the story sucking ass, think about what system your playing and what potential there is considering your basically on a lower scale PC now (Next Gen Console). Look at Warframe please for an example of how much maps and content is easily possible, which BTW is a free game. Once we get games that are true story line driven for this "Next Gen" like Witcher 3 and Elder Scrolls, defending this story line should be murdered at the thought of the 500 million dollar budget here. Point is, you cannot sit here and defend this game while they are already selling content that's ODC labeled as DLC. I don't care to hear you 40 year old virgins say you kids are ungrateful. Your a blind sheep casual that would buy a bag of dog shit labeled as brown gold. True gamers know what is expected in a 500 million dollar game lol and whats been put on the table is a disgusting disgrace.

0/10 Would not bang -These people just have common sense.

I do both actually. Been working from home for most of my life, best way to get true experience in the business.

Don't forget all the Voice Acting professional critics and Videogame Story experts that Destiny brought out.

Oh look a philosopher. Watch closely kids if we're lucky we'll see him correcting someone on their spelling mistakes by quoting the dictionary. Shut up Meg.
Basic mathematics skills are impressive you're right!
This. Taxes aren't hard. I do them on a daily basis for a hotel and at least a dozen people every year. Itemizing is a colossal pain in the neck along with amending, but it's more time consuming than anything.

Hahaha great post

what do u think their motive is?? MONEY!!! shit if i was the one running shit id want to make as much money as i could..any way you put it people will still buy the DLC and they will make their money...who gives a shit...make ur own money and spend the 20 dollars on destiny and skip spending it at mcdonalds for a couple days.
-
So somebody needs to be an economic expert in order to be unhappy with paying a price they believe is too much?
-
Get ready for the paragraph warriors !!

internet forums are like pubs. everyone has an opinion they think everyone else must want to hear and most of the time they confuse their own opinion for actual fact. The only difference between a pub and forums is that, most of the time, the people on the forums don't have the excuse of being drunk for being over opinionated dicks

This post reminds me of a court case I read about... Basically a printer was in dispute with the local municipality tax assessor. The Tax assessor was improperly valuing the depreciation of the of the property which was artificially inflating the property value of the assets for tax purposes. The net difference was about $140,000.00 total. After a few years that really adds up, so the printer was suing the Tax Assessor's office. So, the printer has a witness come up on the stand. The plaintiff's attorney (the printer) begins asking questions of the witness. The witness begins to talk about how the Tax Assessor was doing everything wrong and that they weren't properly using the depreciation scheduling. The whole time, the witness is quoting a book, which is the industry accepted standard for assessing property in the printing industry. The attorneys for both sides have a copy of the book on their desks and had been citing sections of it to support their respective cases. Then, the defendant's attorney (Tax Assessors) get to cross examine the witness. The first thing the defense attorney does is challenge the witness' credentials starting with asking for the witnesses name again. The witness then gives their name like it should be self evident about their credentials. The defense attorney then asks why he (the witness) thinks he is right when everything he (the witness) was stating was false, as per the guidelines set out in the book. The witness then instructs the defense attorney to open the book on his desk to the first page and to read the name of the author. The witness then repeats his name again. It turns out, the witness was the author of the book that the entire United States uses when assessing the property value of printing equipment... There is a moral in this story, somewhere. But you probably have to be an expert in philosophy to understand it...

It's crazy right who knew playing a video game 18 hours a day was that same as getting a couple of associate degrees
-
Doesn't take a genius to work out that - British people are paying over 1.5x as much as Americans Xbox pay the same for less content You're an idiot.

Tax Laws =/= Economics

Dont forget all the lawyers too.
