I love this game. I'll be buying DLC until I get sick of playing, just like every game I've ever played.
I think some people take this shit way too seriously. (Not directed at you OP, just a generalization)

Look jampire. You git ripped off. What you bought is only part of the full game. You like it and thats cool, good for you. But whether you like the game or not the people who bought this game got ripped off. Its just a fact. So its not that the players are whiny and bitchy... Its that they realized they didnt get what was promised and one of the best thing you can do is write about it hoping that if enough people write the same thing that bungievwill see that we're not taking this greedy shit. They need to change their direction before they shit on their reputation and have gamers move on to other games.

Getting ripped off is a matter of opinion though. I don't think I got ripped off in the slightest for example. Saying it's a fact that everyone got ripped off is just a bit of hyperbole don't you think? It's obvious that some people feel that way, but how big of a percentage of customers feel that way? Is it 50% or is it 1%? At what point can Bungie look at factual evidence that a large percentage of their customers are dissatisfied and make changes accordingly? I think for a game that's only been out less than 2 months that data is flawed by mostly dissatisfied people speaking up. I've got approximately 15 friends that play and I've yet to hear one say they were ripped off. Come to the forums however and seemingly EVERYONE hates this game. I'd bet any game forum is pretty much the exact same.

Edited by Sean: 10/30/2014 7:29:42 PMBasing on what Bungie had shown and talked about prior to the game's release we are being ripped off. Here's a post that I actually typed of in response to someone else (they wanted examples of what Bungie had said / shown so I detailed it):
http://youtu.be/EwOUi4JDC4o 0:33 - Old Chicago 1:01 - Gain Favor with the Queen: Help the Crow loot the Academy archive 3:10 - "We are building something alive, that has nature that we don't totally control, things are going to happen that we don't plan, and that's amazing" 3:20 - Cut content that was playable 3:24 - The Reef: More cut content that was playable; expect to see this come up as paid DLC 3:44-3:50 - Forest themed place http://youtu.be/Akpe14br3J4 0:25 - (about areas in game) "enough variety so that you will never get bored" (in areas that have the same spawns, no random interactions, etc) 0:31 - Hey, that looks like the new wizard in the Crota's Strike mission that isn't out yet, but wait, this was a year ago!? 0:33 - Bet this is more raid content that is in the Crota "expansion" 0:40 - "You can go from Earth to Venus to Mars to the Moon to Saturn" (was this the original plot structure....and SATURN?!) 1:31 - "You will understand where these [weapons] came from and what [that person] went through to get there" 2:19 - Better Public Events 3:16 - "You got strikes, you got raids" (fits with the idea that content was cut since they were discussing multiple raids a year ago) 3:58-4:10 - The loot, just listen to what they say and see what they show for loot at this part These vidocs really made me want that game, and saddened me at the state that Bungie and Destiny are in now.
Those videos clearly see more content an entire year ago than what was actually delivered, and we will most likely start seeing that content pop back up in the form of paid DLC. A vidoc (in terms of Bungie) is also a carefully pieced together video to only talk about what is in the game since this isn't Bungie's first release.

Clearly content was cut from the game, there's no arguing that. [uEvery game has content cut from it for a wide variety of reasons. I'm not argue that whatsoever. Hell, I'm not arguing anything really. Simply stating I don't feel ripped off in the slightest. Those vidocs and trailer releases may become a thing of the past with games in the future. I see a lot of over-scrutiny with these and it's really going to hurt the developers in the long run with fans lamenting over a few seconds worth of cut content.
-
Edited by Sean: 10/30/2014 9:33:18 PMYes, because more raids, trading (mentioned in another video), more areas (that were built and textured), and other content are just a few seconds. This is content that they are pumping back out is for people to pay more money and are just milking their fanbase. This content is locked away on the disc and these expansions are just unlock codes for this disc-locked content. There is enough proof for that side of the argument, even going back to the Alpha for the game.
-
I meant a few seconds as-seen in the video. Wasn't clear, my bad.
-
Then y even comment. Just for attention
-
I could say the same for your entire post, but instead I voiced my opinion. You post several paragraphs about your opinion while I posted a few sentences andI'm the one doing it for attention? That's some strange logic you have there.

1 new strike and 1 raid is not nearly enough PvE content. I love this game, but we didnt even get 1 new planet. Notice i didnt even mention the 3 regular missions, because those arent even worth mentioning, and the PvP maps are a plus, but we dont need more PvP content. I was really hopefull for this DLC, as im Lvl 30. Now im like really, 1strike and 1 raid Lol

I can for sure understand people's frustration with the DLC. For now I still lo e it so I'm excited for it, but I get that for some it's already gotten stale. I always paid for Call of Duty DLC until I got sick of it after a year or two then I stopped playing. My overall point is that I'll buy it cause I'm still having a ton of fun with Destiny. When the day comes that I get tired of it, I'll just move on the the next game.
-
aaah i get you. But shit to all honesty, i really like Destiny, but there aint much else to play, thats why i find myself playing alot. But now that GtaV, DragonAge, even FarCry and hell even CoD, there are more selection of games for me to play

*sips tea* stop buying dlc in pre ordering in watch how they change up.
-
I haven't pre-ordered any game for years. Even if I'm super pumped about it I just wait. I have yet to see a pre-order bonus worth a damn.
-
That's what I'm saying I can never pre order -blam!- that
