Maybe Bungie is at fault for creating unrealistic time frames for themselves and expectations for the consumer or maybe Activision is at fault for not budging on those time frames to allow for more content or budgeting better. Who knows, but they are both probably at fault, in one way or another.

I think the unrealistic expectations were made by the consumers themselves.
I think the unrealistic expectations were made by the consumers themselves.
This is total bullshit. The developers themselves made claims of open world, trading, etc. They also claimed the story would be able to sit on a shelf with the likes of LotR. Don't apologize for them.

And the reason we didnt get half the content is because Activision screwed everyone over by saying it was "too much content" and making Bungie cut half the content.
-
I never heard of trading. and the game was exponentially overhyped by fans you cannot deny that.
-
That's true to an extent, but there were definitely content cuts before release, content we were shown and, naturally, expected (in some form). That's all I meant by that.
-
Well yeah the whole thing about Activision saying it was too much and cutting.
