Bungie fixing the Atheon bug is exactly what they need to do. That is not the intended way to defeat Atheon, and its a glitch.
When you have groups of level 26-28 players getting hard raid loot, it becomes a big issue. Suck it up and learn to play the game how they wanted you to play it.

I agree with this method, although its not simply seconds. If you notice, they have the times vengeance buff, which requires players to go into the off-worlds and collect the relic.

Better fix would have been to make it that you cannot get rewards unless if you completed the previous checkpoints (not necessarily at once, but at least complete them).

It's not a glitch, that's how it was meant to be. It's an exploit.

True, i guess i view them as the same thing. Point is, the developers didnt think to much into this, it was exploited, and now they are going to fix it.
