I'm generally always first whenever I play... Which is very seldom (I'm so cool, I know.) But I never get anything.... Don't you love the RNG system <3?

When trying to do bounties (Enforcer, focusing others for bruiser etc.) I play reckless. When I play without any side objective I typically place first.

I actually do love the RNG system, I just wish they would isolate it to loot tables like most other games. Better the mob, better the loot for RNG to pick from, in essence every loot based game is on RNG (I know there are some exceptions, but they arent as heavily based on loot as Destiny). I also wish they would tier the PvP matchmaking, I hate playing with people that are really good because it isn't fair to them that theh got stuck with me on their team and it isn't fair to me because I have a lot less fun playing with/against people I can't hang with.

I agree with your first point, killing lower tier enemies should drop common items, or encrypted engrams.... But at far as PVP goes there really is no balance to the drops in crucible.

Balancing wouldn't be such a big deal if you were with players of your own skill that are contributing equally to the team. If the difference between first and last was a few hundred points I don't think quite as many people would be upset over the loot.
