New kind of Heavy Weapons?

You have been directed to this thread from here. So far we have two base heavy weapons, Machine guns and Rocket Launchers. Ammo is hard to come by, and these weapons are generally overpowered to compensate for limited use. Lets bring more color to this heavy painting. Why should we be limited to simply Machine guns and Rocket Launchers. Yes, it's fun to deal loads of damage when given the chance, but it is beginning to feel all too familiar. If i can have a Fusion Rifle and Shotgun as a primary (Vex Mythoclast/ Universal Remote), Then shouldn't we be able to have different weapon classes for heavy weapons? Think of the possibilities! Imagine a Shotgun Heavy weapon, That would be amazing to hold and fire! A Fusion Rifle Heavy weapon! A Hand Cannon Heavy Weapon. A Sniper Heavy weapon. The designs would be so intricate and unique that it would feel euphoric to play with exotic heavy weapons like these. The closest I feel to this concept would be the Tunderlord (Exotic Heavy Machine Gun). After a few upgrade it shoots out lightning rounds! This is what inspired this idea, because after thinking of that I imagined a Fusion Cannon Heavy Weapon that shoots out a destructive beam until the battery overheats. Thanks for reading my post, and i hope you feel creative enough to post your ideas for cool new Heavy Weapons! EDIT: If you liked what you read, and don't feel as creative, please bump to keep this thread alive, thanks!

 • I want a flamethrower heavy weapon: Always elemental, short range (like Fusion Rifle range) continuous damage in a stream. Each element could have different effects outside of just what shields they bring down, fire causes a DOT (doesn't stack and only starts once the opponent is no longer being damaged by the stream) Arc could have a wider spread like a fan of lightning blasting out rather than a stream and void could slow the targets movement whilst its damaging them. I must say I'm kind of let down by the weapon variety Bungie has put in this game. The weapons that are in it handle well and feel cool, but I kinda expected more from the people who made Halo.
