I kind of agree. Most of the people I play with only play PvP because we have to to get crucible marks. This game has a horrible multiplayer and I wish we didn't have to play it. They should do more bounties for PvE.
Most of the people I play with only play PvP because we have to to get crucible marks.
80% of the people on my friend's list are this way or they simply refuse to care about anything tied to PvP at all.

If you played crucible 80 percent of the time, I think you would find that 80 percent of your friend's would be playing crucible. It would probably make your PvP experience 80 percent more enjoyable, too. But if you continue to pop headshots into mindless drones, you will most likely continue to make friends that do the same thing.

Some have been around since Ghost Recon on 486 PCs and Quake LAN connections at my Air Force base in Japan. We've been friends since some of the Crucible players in Destiny were worried about getting their fractions homework done. We've played all manner of games together. Sports, RPGs (that allow MP like Fable), FPS games including CoD, and these same friends, many who have put 100's of hours into prestige-ing their characters in Black Ops, do not like the Crucible. Of my friends, 1 in 5 has a preference for playing there over PvE. "Mindless drones" is a nifty expression. You do realize that every game ever relies on some mindless drone algorithm in the back end doing its job. A mindless drone is also someone who accepts what they are given without thinking on how to improve it or objecting to when incorrect decisions are being made. You enjoy Crucible. Good for you. You have found more value in Destiny than the 5 to 1 ratio of players (demonstrated in two polls on this site) who would if forced to chose would prefer PvE expansion over any further work done on PvP.
