I am somehow feeling the same way. If they would have told me that pvp has such an high priority I would not have bought the game. I was expecting that the whole development and idea behind destiny was 95% pve and 5% pvp. Now I know, pvp affects pve (nerv of weapons due to imbalance in pvp etc.). Do not get me wrong I am fine that there are events and so on for pvp. But for me bungie takes to much effort in this area. They want dance at two parties at once and we all know that does not work. There should be events for pvp and pve at once. There should no need for the people to play on the other mode if they do not want to (like they bounties who force pve into pvp mode).

 • I absolutely agree, on Saturday it was my first time getting an exotic bounty and I was sooo hyped up, but when I selected the thorn bounty I didn't know that they would force Pvp down my throat on the second part. Seriously. Who thought it was a great idea to make a bounty where deaths slow your progress and void weapons are the only thing you can use, bungie doesn't realize that most people dont have 5 friends to do the vault with , so having a bounty that almost requires atheons epilogue is insane, this bounty itself turned me off from the game and I enjoy pve a lot , so forcing Pvp down my throat just to get a weapon that is broken has pushed me over the breaking point, first the light creep then the bullshit epic modifier on some heroic weekly strikes that let melee enemies kill you in one shot to now this, I'm sorry but the Pvp is insanely broken so deaths happen more to me than actually getting kills so I'm saying this with the most sympathy I can FIX YOUR BROKEN GAME and I might come back but for right now IM OUT.

 • Totally agree - I still enjoy the PVE aspects, but I probably would have thought twice about getting the game if I knew that so little would be put into the PVE portion. Definitely waiting for Dragon Age now and hoping that the multiplayer quests are procedural generated so they don't get old.

 •
I was expecting that the whole development and idea behind destiny was 95% pve and 5% pvp.
This is the crux of the problem. People saw what they wanted to see. I really don't know how any objective observer could have come to this conclusion even 4 months ago.

 • This might be but look at the trailers, look at the interviews with the devs, they clearly showed more than 90% pve content like the story and so on. The loot system which is not even a part of pvp (just some strange lottery at the end of an match). What do you think would have happened if they told us that the games will be 50% pve and 50% pvp? An much more decreased amount of sales that is for sure. And why not pvp and pve events at the same time? The way how they handle it is wrong and increases the gap between the players.
